Well worth the trip.
This was a wonderful one night stay as part of our leaf peeping trip to Vermont from the UK. One thing to be aware of is that GPS/satnav is really bad in this area. Make sure you take printed written instructions of how to find them. The cabin is absolutely lovely. It’s really well equipped, especially the kitchen which has good quality knives, saucepans, frying pans, etc important if you’re going to be doing your own cooking. Lovely little touches of leaving a couple of home-made scones and some fresh eggs for us. The view from the cabin is absolutely gorgeous. The bed is really comfortable, the linen is high quality and we were just sorry that we only stayed one night. Highly recommended.

Well I didn’t like the strange having to take out your trash at the end of the stay perhaps the locks to the doors would work or not work a very very primitive know if we would’ve known that we would’ve brought other things maybe they should’ve explained that there was no TV When I spoke he seemed like I was bothering him and he just wasn’t very friendly especially since I wasn’t going to meet them and they already taken my money you would’ve thought he would’ve been a little bit more friendly over the phone his voice was not very welcoming it was just a very very very very very strange stay

We are very disappointed to hear that this guest did not have a five star experience on our farm. Yes, without a doubt, we offer a very different experience from staying at a chain hotel. We are a husband and wife team offering a farm stay experience on our working farm. We do ask that guests throw their trash away at the end of their stay so that we can offer a later check-out time in the cabins (11am). The dumpsters are close to the parking area, and easy to do before leaving the farm. We are aware that the locks on the cabin doors can be a bit tricky. We are actually replacing all of our doors next month. But until then, we give very specific instructions on how to lock the door in our check-in email and also ask guests to please contact us if they have any problems at all. We wish this guest made us aware of their difficulties that they were having with the doors, but sadly they did not tell us. We could have easily showed them how to lock the door. We have extremely fast fiber optic WIFI in every cabin. We feel that this satisfies most people's entertainment needs. We do not list a TV as an amenity for the cabin in our Expedia listing or on our website. Unfortunately, we cannot control how closely people read our listing before booking a stay on our farm. Everyday, we are very busy getting ready for new guests to arrive at the farm. When guests arrive before their listed check-in time, we are sometimes caught off guard. These guests arrived over two hours early. The check-in time is listed on our Expedia listing, our website and our check-in email. We cannot be sure that all guests will see the listed check-in time even though it is listed in several places. We never communicated directly with this guest before their stay, so for this reason, we called the guest on the morning of their arrival to check in with them regarding their stay on the farm. The guest did not have an updated phone number on their reservation, or an email address, so we were unable to successfully contact them. We are truly sorry if we did not sound friendly enough on the phone, we were just not expecting anyone to be arriving so early and we were in the middle of getting the cabin prepped for their arrival. We apologize for not sounding welcoming on the phone. Had this guest provided a way for us to contact them when they booked the reservation, we would have sent them an email with very detailed instructions about check-in and other important information needed to make their stay more comfortable, as we do with all of our guests on the day they are arriving on the farm.

The cabin was perfect, roomy and clean. My 5 & 7 year old grandchildren loved that they could sled right next to the cabin. They also enjoyed helping to feed the sheep & chickens in the morning! We will definitely visit again during the summer to enjoy some of the area hiking!
