"The hotel and staff were wonderful! It’s in a great location next to the Alamo and downtown. The Tavern has great food and drinks. Unfortunately the parking situation is not ideal there. There are 2 options one is valet parking for $65 and then there is self parking which whoever the vendor is for it is extremely dishonest with their pricing advertising $48 for 4-24 hours of parking and when you go to use it it 12 hours is $56 and adding another 2 hours would have been $42. To avoid this use the valet parking. Otherwise it’s a great place to stay"

Hotel Gibbs Downtown Riverwalk

"We were in San Antonio for a graduation and stayed 4 days. I had read the reviews for the hotel and the only thing really negative was concerning the parking. I called the hotel before I booked with my concerns about the parking. I was told that I didn't have to valet park at the hotel because there was plenty of parking all around the hotel. Where this was true, it was very deceiving because parking anywhere in the area was $25 or higher! There was no in and out parking in the other parking areas, so you had to pay the return. So yes, it ended up being cheaper to pay the $42 a day parking at the hotel. I was disappointed because we were there last year and parked across the street from the hotel we were staying at and only paid less than $20 per day and was able to go in and out whenever. I now see where they make their money. Anyway, where the parking was an issue for me, the hotel itself was not. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent for visiting the Riverwalk. It felt so good to be within walking distance to anything we wanted. Let me not forget about the plethora of food for breakfast! That definitely is the highlight of this hotel. We will definitely keep this hotel in mind when we return for a visit. I will know up front to prepare for the parking fees. You will not be disappointed with this hotel."

La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham San Antonio Downtown

"Everything was good, I’m not going with ‘great’ because we had issues with the air conditioning within the first 30 minutes and they persisted, the elevators on our side of the building went out and the lines on the other side were horrible. We had to take the stairs down from the 3rd floor and it was so hot in the stairways. Breakfast was a throw down each day, most items were not kept stocked and the line for waffles was 15-20 minutes long! The staff was so"

"Absolutely the best place to stay. Walking distance to the Alamo and Riverwalk. Excellent food at the Indian restaurant on the hotel property. Staff was very helpful and friendly . Room was very comfortable."
