"This is truly a hidden gem! The staff, amazing. The room we stayed in was the oak room, it was fantastic! The resturant on site is too notch! Hats off to the chef as every meal, was absolutely fantastic and better than i would have ever thought! My wife and i pride ourselves in staying in random new places everytime we go somewhere new, this is the first rime we both agreed that when we come back to oxford for travels we'd come back to this hotel for sure 110% "

"Lovely stay at a genuine village pub, not a restaurant with rooms or a hotel with a bar, this is the real thing. Beautifully furnished rooms, amazing staff and service and fantastic atmosphere, and Blewbury is beautiful. The Ukrainian menu has to be tried! We loved also that the dog was as welcome as we were."

"Very convenient for Oxford"

"The room was clean and comfortable, and our night’s sleep was followed by a good breakfast with plenty of choice. Staff were friendly and we were able to park in the hotel’s car park. Our stay was slightly spoiled though by music from a party downstairs which kept us awake until just after midnight. Not ideal. "

"Started off with an extra charge for our dog. £25. This was not stated on Hotels.com. Didn’t really have a choice, not too much of an issue as extra charges are normally standard on other hotels. Oh well. Room was what we expected, bathroom could use a bit of tlc. Mould around the bath. Shower curtain had seen better days. Sink cold water tap could use a tighten up. Storage heater was a bit rusty, could use a rub down. Staff were friendly enough. Pub seemed to be a locals pub and wasn’t what you’d call swinging for a Saturday night. Locale, 30 minutes from Oxford and 40 minutes from The Farmers Dog. Cheap and cheerful. Would I stay here again? Probably not"

"The gentleman on reception who checked us in, David, was stellar. Friendly, polite, went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. The room (4th floor) was relatively quiet and clean tho some of the furnishing had seen better days. Minimal noise from outside, which is impressive given it’s on a busy interchange and close to the railway but some noisy other guests disturbed us a bit"

"Nice hotel , pleasant staff but disappointedly the heating in room 12 didn’t work. Despite twice contacting reception to help fix the issue (which they said they had done by controls at reception) it still didn’t waork and was freezing. They eventually brought manual heaters but this is not the standard I would expect. At no point were we offered another room "

"Lovely large room and bathroom, very clean. Building was a little tired and the tv didnt work but overall the hotel was fab.. the location, food and staff were excellent.. would definitely go again."
