"When we arrived we were told our room was no longer available due to a 'maintenance issue' so had to book somewhere else at the last minute. The lady that we spoke to was nice and did say they had tried to contact us during the day about the situation. However, checking the message we found in Expedia, it was only sent an hour before we arrived late afternoon. Not helpful when you are driving long distance. Might be a one off but, obviously, have to score the hotel low in this instance."

"Staff were great and breakfast was fine. Our room was yet to be redecorated but was ok. Bathroom mirror light/socket not working, and bed a bit creaky, but prob because of that. Overall we felt it was good value for the price."

"Clean room and pretty spacious. Good breakfast and breakfast staff. Reason for the low score was one of the managers had a poor manner about them. My wife mentioned it to me when she was trying to check in half and hour early and I didn’t believe her but I witnessed it when I was checking out. At check out we asked if we could store a small cabin bag so we could go for a walk along the front but we were told the bag storage area was full. Really? If true then you need a bigger storage...

"Great hotel and staff above and beyond, enjoyed sunbathing in pool area during the heat wave sauna steam room cold dip aswell very soothing tea tray on room no biscuits 🥲 will definitely be back and bring own hobnobs, 10 % of bill so charge to room because you can only use once restaurant expensive great bluebell pub £5 in taxi and drinks much cheaper Wetherspoon blue bell will beer garden very friendly staff stay open late for World Cup then bar staff droped us of at hotel early hours ❤️"

"The hotel itself was excellent, as were the staff. The attached restaurant however, was atrocious. The service was practically non existent. We had tea and (very nice) cake there in the afternoon (eventually), and when we turned up for breakfast the next morning, our tea dishes were still on the table. At dinner time we sat for fifteen minutes before having to go and find someone to take our order. Frozen chips took a hour to arrive. In the morning, despite arriving 15mins after breakfast was...

"Booked the hotel awhile back 3 rooms 2 rooms were placed outside the hotel in prefabricated buildings while one was in the hotel felt a little out of the way with this should really tell you its the Annex and not hotel ."

"Parking was good, reception staff very helpful, room & bathroom clean & bed comfortable. There were a couple of areas with room for improvement. The curtains had come off the rail near the closure on one side so it let the early morning light in. A small bottle of water in the room, particularly in the heat would have been appreciated. All in all a good stay."

"Stayed in room 103, lovely room nice and clean and well serviced, but noisy. Very noisy above the bar, had a private party on Saturday night until midnight, I could feel the bass no sleep I don't think the room should be let under the circumstances, anywhere on the first floor, also 103 is by the lift and exit door, so people walking and talking past the door all night, so my advice is if you'd like a peaceful night's sleep then avoid this room, a shame as I've stayed here before on the 2nd...
