"Nice, modern room with all the amenities and close to the city centre."

"Great location, very easy to get into town with a quick walk and then bus. The staff were really friendly and helpful, couldn’t do more. The only down side was the toilet in the room smelt, the smell you get in public toilets. The floors weren’t cleaned during our stay so maybe a few years of this has led to it. "

"Very impressive hotel. Close walking distance to town. Only rated 3 star due to room. The hotel windows are sealed units, so air ventilation system has to be on constant. Noisy so sleep was not great, we had to keep adjusting fan and temperature. In the end gave up and slept in my sweater. We booked two nights felt like going home next day, but cost us a lot of money. Hence would never rebook."

"The staff were excellent, the breakfast food was also really good. But I felt the property was a showing signs of lack of care. It was just small things, for example: the tables in the dining area were marble topped, most of which were visibly chipped. One of the blinds in the bedroom was frayed at the edges. The bathroom door was a sliding glass door which got stuck every time if you fully closed it. Once you spot one, the other little flaws become more obvious. In addition, our bedroom was located directly opposite the cleaning/linen room, the door to which was open for the duration of our stay. The room itself was clean and comfortable. Although it was facing the front of the building, which is on a main road. It would benefit from sound proofing. That said, the view across the park was really nice. The location is about 10-15 minutes walk to the city centre, and you can benefit from walking through the park part of the way. Overall, it was a nice stay. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Check in was easy and swift. I wouldn't class this as an exceptional stay though."

"Ibis Cambridge iw so convenient to the train. Right next door. The staff met us kindly and took our bags until checkin so we could go explore. Our room was clean and quiet and quiet comfortable."

"Room was dated. Curtains off hooks, dirty marks on carpet and window ledges dirty/ dusty. Most disappointing was the condition of the bed. Both my husband and I are a small build and lightweight and could feel the springs in the mattress. Also the bed was like sleeping on a trampoline if either one of us moved. The heating in the bathroom was permanently on so we had to sleep with the window door open . The Roman blind was also difficult to put down so gave up. Staff at reception were acceptable but not overly helpful or friendly. A functional stay but would not return to this hotel. Not value for money. "

"So much character, a really charming hotel. Staff are so attentive and reception were so welcoming and helpful. Room is big and everything you need! Location was also perfect. Breakfast buffet was delicious, really fresh produce and variety. Cocktail were also great, just maybe a little slow. Bed was sooo comfy as well! Overall, a really really wonderful stay. Would 1000% recommend, and will be back !! "
