"We rarely get a break from our business so we are always so happy to find little gems like the Brocket. We loved the relaxed charm of the whole place. The roads accessing it may be a little windy & tight but Ayot is such a beautiful area it is worth the trip. "Booked in advance so good value. Plenty of free parking; registration plate is required with check-in. The man on reception was efficient and friendly. Hallway to room was clean and smelt fresh. Room had desk, two chairs, storage/hanging space, TV, was clean, neat and tidy with comfortable beds. A kettle with coffee tea facilities were provided. "Convenient for airport. Only one extra pillow for two guests. Only one chair in the room for two guests. Decor could do with a brightening up. Nice to have kettle in room with tea and coffee. "

"Fantastic as usual. Very reliable, very quiet. Only downside, is that if you are staying on the ground floor facing the car park, others may see you. There is a hedge which prevents this to a small degree. This is a very minor criticism- everything else is perfect, best value for money. "

"A lovely quirky hotel close to Hertfordshire University. Many food places close by however, the onsite restaurant was delicious and the staff friendly, polite and welcoming. The rooms were generous sized and well equipped for our stay. We would definitely return. "
