Wyndham Garden at Niagara Falls

"The staff was great and very welcoming when we checked in and out. We only had one person at the front desk that was a bit rude during our visit when we asked about leaving our rented mobility scooters in the lobby out of the way for a few hours. She said we needed to take them to our room. We did but it was a big hassle getting them in and out of the elevator. Later in the day we asked another front desk person and they told us we could leave them parked out of the way in the hallway for the night. The next day when we came back from our sightseeing we asked about leaving them plugged in to charged by one of the outlets our of way. We were told that was fine. We really appreciated that. Our room was very nice except that I feel that there should be a small night light in the bathroom because leaving the light on in the bathroom is a bit much even with the door just cracked open. Leaving the light on around the TV isn't the best options either. I feel that there should be grab bars in the shower in every room and the toilets are way too low especially if you are a taller person. The bed was awesome...got some great sleep each night. The parking was great as we were able to get a handicap parking space and didn't have to move the car our whole time there. We were also able to view the fireworks every night from our room. Overall it was a great vacation."

"The property was pretty nice. The breakfast was convenient. The laundry room however was dirty and infected with bugs.Otherwise I like my stay and definitely come back."

"Great location but staff and management need to take greater ownership and communicate to reach the full potential of this property. We were given a newly renovated room with a beautiful lake view. However both the shower and sink were experiencing draining problems. The shower ended up flooding over onto our floor and into the bedroom. We reported it to the front desk who never communicated it to the day shift for maintenance to come and fix it. We reported it again and when maintenance arrived he was very professional but had only been told of a slow drain not the flooding issue. A fan was put in our room and Boone ever checked back in about it or with us regarding the issue. We tried to make use of the private beach. No towels were available, when we asked if more were coming the man working simply said there was nothing to be done. There was a reservation list for kayaks and canoes, he did not monitor it at all, just sat in the hut and ignored the beach. When our room was serviced trash was left behind and floors unswept but towels changed and beds made. At breakfast I observed a staff member leaning on the sneeze guard of the buffet for an extended period of time. The bartender, I wish I had gotten his name but he has been there for many years was excellent. Friendly and gracious, kudos. These are minor things that people take note of at a place of this caliber. Better communication amongst the staff and a bit more attention the details could go a long way."

"Area is a bit outdated but felt safe and was a quiet place to stay. Great location to both the falls and walking across the bridge to Canada."
