Barcelo Tulum hotels

"1. This is a COUPLES resort…heavy on the couples. If you’re not comfortable being by yourself, it might hit different. I did meet some people and hung out with them here and there. 2. You don’t have to leave at all there are multiple pools, 5–6 restaurants, everything is right there. 3. It’s not on the beach, BUT the shuttle is a whole vibe and the beach club is 10/10—pools, cabanas, food, drinks, and great service. There’s no extra cost. 4. Food was solid. Tried most of the restaurants, no real complaints. 5. The BED?! Top 3 best sleep I’ve had. No exaggeration. I was knocked out! 6. Preferred Club = worth it. Concierge checked on me daily, handled little things (even my lost key), and the preferred pool is super chill + luxe. 7. This is NOT a party resort. It’s calm, quiet, and relaxing. Also not crowded so there’s no fighting for chairs, cabanas always available. 8. They do have activities all day + night like the silent party, shows, painting, water aerobics, etc. So it’s not boring at all, just chill fun. 9. The spa?! I did the “Imagine” package: hydrotherapy pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, cold plunge + a 50 min massage, 30 min facial, 30 min foot treatment… WORTH IT Overall… would I come back? Yes. But next time… I’m pulling up with a man! lol "

"Staff were fantastic, beautiful stretch of beach front property and nice pool. Free parking was great. The music was loud some days but was done by a decent time at night so it didn’t bother us at all. Breakfast started at 8am, we thought it started at 7 so just to be aware of. I tried the free yoga one morning and really enjoyed it. Breakfast was delicious, there are a few options to chose from and all made fresh to order. Would recommend. "

"Clean room, air conditioning and fan worked well, hot shower was wonderful after a long day at Jaguar Park which was a 10 minute walk from the hotel! Staff was extremely helpful in giving directions and helping us find affordable transportation. "

"Excellent room with an incredible forest view from the large windows opposite the bed. Great value for Tulum and great location that was in between the town and beach. Small pool with loungers that were available to use. Incredible restaurant for us (vegans), slightly pricey but as is the whole of Tulum."

"Everything super clean. Kids club should make an effort to keep the kids busy and parents free, there are several rules and they call you whenever something is off with the kids, we couldn't enjoy a (well paid) spa moment because we had our phone buzzing. In general the staff is kind, but they approach their rules without context making things more complicated/frustrating than they supposed to be. The app is a disaster."

"It’s a good hotel but to me the bed was too soft. There is no coffee maker in the room making a little challenge for me. Otherwise the staffs on roof top restaurant were very nice and helpful. The pool on the roof top is good too. "
