"My stay at Shibari was wonderful! Staff were very professional, attentive & courteous. Check-in process was simple. They were able to check me in early. The room floor seemed like it wasn’t cleaned that well but the room and view was so beautiful it took the focus away from it. The cenote and restaurant area were amazing. Food taste amazing, a bit overpriced, but the taste, service & staff compensated for it. The fitness center can use some attention. "

"We just checked out today and wanted to give a review, especially after seeing lot of negative reviews. We were contemplating cancelling but decided to come anyways 1) Room service in building 3: after seeing all the terrible reviews, our experience was opposite! When we first checked in and they told us we were in building 3, we thought oh great, here we go. Nope - we ordered room service multiple times through the app, and we always got it ahead of schedule! We ordered at peak times too 2) Theft: We left all our electronics out in the room and had our passports and money and wallet in the safe at all times and had nothing stolen 3) I can’t even tell you how amazing the food was - Jasmine was our favourite, both for the preferred breakfast and supper! We didn’t get sick once and couldn’t believe how amazing the food was 4) We were hearing from others who were in building 1 that they kept getting notes under their door and hounded for the timeshare presentation, but we were in building 3 - they asked us once at check in, we said no, and was never asked again. Nothing under our door. At one point our door didn’t close all the way, so it was slightly opened and we immediately received a courtesy call letting us know. If we didn’t answer, they assumed we were out of the room and were going to close it for us. We were on our way out anyways and when we left, the guard was standing outside our room. Top tier service! "

"We could see the ocean from our room, but set back behind one set of buildings. You could still hear the sound of the ocean and the music playing in the beach restaurant."

And Edgar was also great as a host and made our dinner for my sister personable and it made her feel special on her birthday. Thank you Jan. Thank you staff. Me, my sister, my brother in law, and my nephew enjoyed it all"

"Yes the ocean was visible from our room. I had paid for the garden veiw, the room wasnt ready and apparently they had some cancelations we were comped. Problem was the two double beds. There is no shuttle offered by the resort. Be aware of the extreem prices up to 300us. Theres an independent taxi service. Down load the indrive app, theres no uber. If you dont use indrive you will pay hundreds in trasportation costs. The waiters are totally unenthusiastic, and way not hardly enyone tips them. "
