"The room was excellent. It was very clean and has a really great ocean view. Staff was friendly and helpful! Breakfast was great but it was lacking some meat on the options. Overall, wonderful stay! It was also great that they offered champagne and wine at specific times while overlooking at the beautiful views."

"It’s about the view and location with this one. Sitting on the patio overlooking the water was definite highlight. This hotel is quite dated as others have said, and in many cases is quite rundown. Our room had a musty smell to it. The bathroom is sizable with lots of full length mirrors. It’s very nice that they deliver breakfast which is quite basic, but we appreciated that the fruit was very fresh. It was is super easy to walk everywhere in Monterey. "

"I had a very disappointing stay and would not recommend this property. The room had multiple cleanliness and maintenance issues that made it uncomfortable and concerning. There was visible mold in the room, including on fixtures, and the hair dryer was filled with dust. Dust buildup was noticeable throughout the space. "Verbal requests for handicap accommodation were ignored. I learned I had to book at time this request at time of making reservation . Unable to shower during vacation. Had called 2X to arrange prior to arrival. + Room had no view and far from dining."

"It’s a great location and beautiful scenery. The kids loved that the deers were right in the parking lot and you could hear frogs at night. The hotel itself shows its age and the first night and first morning we had no hot water and the staff was slow to address it. Once we had this issue fixed the stay was good. "
