"We spent four fabulously comfortable and decadent four nights at The Charles in Pacific Grove. The rooms are beautifully decorated with a nod to the age of the building (1904). Historic photographs of Pacific Grove line the hallways. The lounge is comfortable and the late afternoon wine and snacks added to the conviviality. Breakfasts were varied and fresh. The breads and quiche were yummy. The beds are soft, the sheets cotton, and at night you can hear the faint crash of the waves on the shore....

"Wow! What a gem, and a pet friendly one too! The pet rules are common sense, but this is easily the most pet friendly place I’ve ever been! The cottage was perfect, plenty of space to stretch out, full living room / dining room and kitchen, king bedroom and 1 1/2 baths! Oh and the patio. And, the fireplace of course! Bed was comfortable. Service was outstanding. Thank you for a great stay! "
