"The 1st room we were given was filthy, couch was covered with stains, bed skirt corner stained/wet (appeared to be where a dog relieved itself) blanket in a separate corner of the bed was stained and the toilet seat and bowl were visibly dirty. We were given another room immediately, the second was also dirty though not to the same extent. "Our stay would have been better if not for the constant noise of hot-rods running up and down the highway well into the night. I guess our timing was bad since this happens annually in early May. There was also a very loud tenant above us that revelled in stomping until 11 at night. The restaurant was great for dinner with excellent food and drinks. Breakfast was over-priced and un-noteworthy. The beach, pool and hot-tub were all nice and private."

"The air unit in the room worked well but we were in a room on the 4th floor and the air unit/closet is right in the room. It was loud. You can hear every time it came on and turned off. For a light sleeper I did not sleep well with it doing that. Also the bed's were suppose to be Queen beds. Ours was not, They were full size beds but felt like twin so beware of the bed size. "We LOVE staying at this property, but honestly until the double guest room showers are updated we may not return. I am aware there is a queen ADA room, but we cannot stay together in that room as there is only one bed. My mother fell in the shower as there was no non-skid mat in the room. The showers in the double rooms are WAY TOO SMALL and unsafe. It is a miracle that she was not more seriously injured. We did complete an incident report immediately after it happened Saturday afternoon...

"Perfectly located to visit anywhere in the OBX. The ocean view from the 4th floor was amazing. The room was clean, spacious and had plenty of everything. The housekeeping was superb and the front end staff were knowledgeable and friendly. Will definitely book again next year."

The only reason I’m not giving it a 5 star is because the beds were so uncomfortable I couldn’t sleep. My bones literally hurt because the beds were way too firm. If they had comfy beds I would 100% return. But can’t say I will now."
