"The hotel is fine for a couple of nights although it could do with updating in many areas (having to walk up outside stairs to reach your room is not ideal). The footfall noise from the upstairs room was terrible on both nights, even with a change of occupants. Needs some sort of sound proofing. The staff member we complained to was great and offered to change our room, but it was after midnight. The electrics blew in our room when we switched something off; again the staff were fantastic....

"The room was very clean and we even got a surprise upgrade to a triple bedroom which allowed us to have more space. It had everything you needed from a fan to toiletries to housekeeping on request. The lady who looked after us was lovely and even let us check in a little early as we arrived earlier than planned. She greeted us warmly each day and explained everything we would need. Everyone we spoke to was welcoming and it only took a few minutes walk before we were in the heart of the city...

"A great welcome from Rachael who looked after us on arrival and departure. We really appreciated the extras like wine, milk, bread, jams and chocolates. Brilliant location. We look forward to staying again in the future. "

"On arrival the staff were very pleasant and welcoming, the room was spotless and better than advertised the minimal shop downstairs was more than adequate the only criticism is the parking situation but you are made aware well in advance overall a fantastic stay and would recommend."
