"I was not sure about this hotel given the reviews but I was very happy with my stay. Maybe there has been a lot of improvements from past reviews? We had an executive room, we were just passing through but the room was great, bathroom clean if basic but a massive room and a massive tv which we never got to use. Not sure what else you could want for the price. We didn’t do breakfast but the lobby and food area looked really good. Car park and exterior doesn’t do it justice but happy we chose it...

Only thing that would need improvement was the pillows , as they were very soft but this of course is preference. Bedding very thick and too heavy during a heat wave. "This old coaching inn has been well revamped, service is first class. The food was excellent with good response to individual needs. Although pricey the rooms were up to a high standard. The roll top bath, with no screen, was a triumph of design over functionality. There was nowhere to put the soap! Having a shower without flooding the floor was tricky.
