"Lovely hotel with very helpful staff on reception, with a very quick and efficient check in. Room was very modern and spacious. Large bathroom with seperate shower, toilet and large bath. Location fabulous for getting around Sydney, close to station and light rail. Lots of restaurants, cafes and bars close by."

"The hotel is very falsely advertised. The room is very small to the point of being very cramped for even one person. For what you pay a night you could get a room twice as big. The listing advertised soundproofing but the soundproofing is nonexistent. You hear everything the people around you are doing even flushing the toilet. I was on a higher floor but the street noise was still pretty loud so I'm assuming it's even worse on a lower floor. I got the room for the "city view" but the only thing...

"The hotel staff said in check in that breakfast was included. However when we went for breakfast they said it wasn’t and we had to scurry to find and eat breakfast before our taxi to the airport. Very frustrating"

"Potts Point is a great area to base yourselves in in Sydney and Spicers is a great "hotel" - actually, that's too impersonal, it feels more like a home away from home. The reception staff are interested and attentive, our room (No.8) was well provisioned and superclean, we were in walking distance of interesting local shops and restaurants, and a short Uber to the CBD. Thoroughly recommend."

"Hotel are very old, tiles are broken in the standing shower. I can hear people walking above my floor around 1 am to 2:30 am. Next door the bell ring can hear it. Not worthy of the price."

"This was a huge let down as I booked it for a few friends for my birthday. The lighting in the room is very dim, but not in a good way (it felt very cold). The living space seemed like it wasn't swept and the couch looked stained. It all made for an uncomfortable experience."

"We loved our stay at the Kimpton Margot Hotel, location is so close to train , rail, metro and bus. The hotel building was beautiful, and the staff super helpful. So many unexpected "extras" , from the free bikes to rent, juice in the morning, and complimentary "happy hour". We would not hesitate to return. One of our favourite hotel stays!"

"Hotel was well located and room was reasonably well appointed. No room service or on site restaurant. One of the staff was fairly rude to me as I answered the door to her holding my phone (not speaking on it, I had interrupted the call to speak to her) but the front desk staff were very nice. "

"Nice boutique hotel within good location of Darling Harbour & Barangaroo. Unfortunately no onsite parking & only option was Wilsons parking & very expensive. Breakfast was very average with minimal selection, which could be improved"
