"Clean and tidy, hotel looked like the rooms had been updated recently, good onsite restaurant for dinner & breakfast"

"We travelled 13 hours to get here only to find there was a young lady who was very apologetic telling us we could not have dinner because the restaurant was closed. Neither could we have a drink because the bar was closed and in the morning there would be no breakfast. The place is so isolated there are no surrounding alternatives for food and drink so we asked to order a taxi only to be told there were none available. We booked another hotel for the Saturday as it was my wife’s birthday to initially be told there would be no recompense. The original girl then told us as we were leaving she would ensure credit for the night we had to pay for another hotel and the breakfast but hotels.com advised that would not be the case. It is still to be pursued but the fact without warning they knowingly knew we travelled from Scotland and left us high and dry without alternatives or warning is vastly more than disappointing."

""I cannot express how terrible my stay was. This place is an absolute dump. The bathroom was disgusting—it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months, and I was too afraid to even use the shower. Speaking of which, I couldn’t even have a shower in the morning because builders were walking around the property ridiculously early. The room itself felt like a funhouse; the floor was slanted, and to make it worse, the bed was slanted too, so I spent the whole night sliding off it. There were only two plugs in the entire room, which made charging devices a nightmare. I would not even recommend this hotel for a dog. Avoid at all costs.""

"A soulless hotel, a cold room at the bottom of the corridor with a freezing cold draft coming under the doorway where I had to use towels to stop the draught. Breakfast - scrambled egg overcooked or should I microwaved. Just very poor for the price of a room. Only positive friendly staff."

"I had a fantastic stay at the Glass House retreat - the team were amazing! Friendly, supportive, and attentive, they made sure I felt right at home. My room was a treat: clean, bright, and airy, with a fabulous rainforest shower and super comfy bed. And wow, the food! Every dish was delicious, I wanted to take the chef home with me! There were loads of activities to keep me busy, and I left feeling refreshed and recharged."
