"We have enjoyed a fantastic 2 night stay, the location was spot on only 2 minutes to Lake Windermere and the ferry landing point. Colin is the perfect host, very attentive, knowledgeable of the area and looked after us well. Breakfast was a lovely; full English in a cosy setting. The room was fine with all amenities. It was our birthdays whilst there and Colin decorated the room, these touches are most appreciated. Definitely recommend 10/10"

"Our hotel room was a bit dated and was far too hot with no way of cooling it down. There was also no fridge. The food was fine, although there were a lot of prepacked foods used (such as pancakes at breakfast, bean burger at dinner). We also ordered packed lunches for our hike and they were quite basic for the £17.50 they cost and they were also quite squashed when they were given to us (the banana was a bit mouldy too as well as being very bruised). The pool was amazing and we all loved it...

"I booked 2 rooms we were allocated rooms 12/14 on 2nd floor which were OK but could do with a revamp.Room 14 had a iron but no ironing board room 12 had a ironing board but no iron so we ending up sharing. Extractor fan not working in bathroom number 12.Both rooms had a view facing the main road and the traffic was constant from 5am.Car alarm going off several times during the night did not help sleeping (I know it was not the hotels fault).Breakfast was OK tea was luke warm from dispenser....

"Lovely accommodation, well presented, . Agree with a comment I have seen - hooks for bathroom / towels would be useful. Lovely spot, right by the river, walking distance ( fairly level)to Windermere Lake and boats etc. Eating places also within walking distance, plenty others short drive away( Anglers Arms, Masons Arms). Bus stop very handy if needed. Nice patio furniture, suntrap in the morning. Obviously outdoor space shared so not private. One picnic table / one bench on the grass by the...

"Lovely place to stay, beautiful countryside. Francesca and Pete made us feel extremely welcome as soon as we arrived. Nothing we asked for was too much for them to sort out. The room was amazing, clean and spacious - everything that we needed was there and more, great night sleep - bed was really comfortable. The bar area was amazing. "Beautiful hotel. The patio was fantastic, but only two parasols available for about eight tables outside. The staff were so very friendly and helpful. Lovely views overlooking Lake Windermere in the distance. The breakfast and lunch were brilliant. We took a walk around the gardens and tarn which were delightful. Free duck food is available at reception."
