"We stayed two nights, It was a great location, quiet, away from the maddening crowd and with exceptional staff and service. Luisa made us quite welcome and introduced us to our room and facilities. The property is excellently presented, is surrounded by like properties( surrounded not crowded) They have a restaurant which has a great pizza and pasta menu, ( thoroughly recommended) Breakfast was much in line with the European norm, but with a pleasant surprise of eggs made to order. "An absolutely great hotel - plenty of history and superb staff. The latter were incredible - all polite, confident and efficient. I needed to stow an electric bike - and the young lady at the front desk personally took me around to where I could leave it securely (she'd only been at the hotel for a short while, but you wouldn't have guessed it). Even the cleaning staff were incredibly polite and helpful. Of course it goes without saying the room was of the highest quality, the lounge beautiful and the breakfast without peer. Management should be congratulated on the way they run this wonderful establishment. "
