The rooms are basic but comfortable, no kettle which was a shame but the views are beautiful and make up for a little shabbiness. The hotel restaurant is fabulous, great views food and service, feels special. Great breakfast selection. definitely worth staying here as well located for the station and the hotel will pick you up as quite steep hill.

This hotel is lake front property that we enjoyed magnificent views. Staffs were friendly and breakfast was very good. However, the hotel provides shuttle service to pick up guests from the train station. I sent message to hotel using Expedia’s communication platform one day prior to arrival and never received a reply. So we opted to walked from station to the hotel which is not far but there is a big stiff slope that we need to climb up to the hotel. It was extra hard while hauling big luggage. While we were checking in, we were told that they have dispatched a taxi to pick us up. But unfortunately we did not see anyone holding any sign for us to recognize the ride.

Beautiful hotel with great staff. Has the largest bourbon bar in the world. Hill walking over from the train station is manageable but would be difficult for those with mobility issues.

Great location
Very convenient for the train station and easy walk. The road is treacherous in the ice so beware! The room was basic but comfortable. Easy walk into central St Moritz

Location is superb. Room is very basic. No Drinking water nor any drink is provided to welcome visitors. However, they did pick me up from the train station though its near to the property. Thankfully there is a shuttle pick up and send service. It was raining when I arrive at the station.

Enjoyed our stay although most of the town is closed in May. Beautiful scenery around the hotel. Hotel had a nice restaurant and bar. There was a small spa which we used. Our room had a great shower.

The Hotel Waldhaus am See is a beautiful hotel right on the lakeshore in St Moritz. The hotel itself is a throwback to the grand hotels of the past but well maintained and elegant. It’s location couldn’t be more beautiful and it is only steps from the train station. After a long day on the Glacier Express, what stood out the most was the service at the Waldhaus. I arrived very tired and at check-in I met the nicest person I met in my entire European trip; Anna Maria. She instantly made me feel more than a hotel guest. She made me feel as a welcome family member. I hope management realizes the treasure they have at the front desk! When you stay at this hotel, be sure to book a room with a “lake view”. As you can see from the attached picture taken from my room, the views are stunning! After a comfortable night’s sleep, what a wonderful vista to welcome the morning! The breakfast buffet was very tasty with more than your average pastries and coffee, but the view from the dining room is what sets this place apart. Thanks again to Anna Maria and the rest of the staff for making my stay in St Moritz so memorable. Read less Tip: As you come out of the train station to the lake side, facing the lake, the hotel is at 10 o’clock up the hill.

We stayed there for one night, transitioning onto Glacier express in the morning. What a gem of a property. Whisky collection alone is remarkable. We got picked up and dropped off at the train station by the hotel shuttle. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely return on our next trip to Switzerland. If there is one thing that can be improved would be the thermostat situation in the room, front desk lady had to come in and coordinate with facilities to ensure the room did not get too hot. Slight blip, but overall quite impressive and exceptional property.

I’d recommend this property to anyone. It’s a little out of the way but the shi shi shops and town area are in easy walking distance and the view from the dining room is unparalleled. Service and food in the restaurant and whiskey bar were exemplary. Hope we can come back when we have more time!

Fabulous location, stunning views. Antonio the waiter is brilliant in the restaurant, great food. Lovely view across the lake whilst eating. Breakfast good but not restocked very quickly, had to ask for milk, tea bags. Fruit selection was low and that was 2 hours before end of service. Wasn’t like that last time we stayed there but would still go again.

The property was lovely, the room was clean and really enjoyed the spa. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the service lady at breakfast, she was grumpy for some reason. But I would still highly recommend this place.

This is a newly renovated hotel and was a pleasure to stay in. Our first impressions were good, the hotel was clean and the room newly renovated. Our first allocated room however had a problem in that a chimney from the kitchen passes through the room with a constant vibration and drone. We flagged this up to reception who moved us immediately. The second room was also newly renovated and had a view over the lake, mountains and town of St. Moritz. The positioning of this hotel is better than any in the centre (in our opinion). Breakfast was served overlooking the lake. The hotel also has a large whiskey collection. It also has a spa. This was a great hotel and we would love to return there again.

The lake view restaurant is very good. The window view is amazing, the food is delicious and not unreasonable expensive. The room is a bit old, and the side facing to the front gate can be noisy.

The best view of the lake & the collections of Whisky for a Whisky lovers (I am not a fan) is for sure the plus point of this hotel. We booked a double room with lake view which was great, but the sound proofs system in between the rooms and within hotel rooms is horrible. Early at 7 am we could hear our next door room‘s TV channel entertainment & any sounds in the hotel lobby from our hotel room. Except for above, it was a nice stay. Finally, how much we wished the service staffs at the breakfast are more open & racially unbiased! We experienced discrimination unfortunately and we sympathize them for their narrow view on humanity
