"Esplanade team really made our NewQuay experience memorable. From check-in, they had a birthday card waiting for us and a wine voucher. Then, they proceeded to give the kids โa build your stuffed animalโ which sent them to cloud 9. Throughout our stay, they went far and beyond to make sure we had a great time. The dinner and breakfast buffet was delicious and everyone was kind, cheerful and helpful. The hotel was kids and pet friendly. The location was just 5 minutes to Pestral beach . The hot tub, Sunna , Arcade and swimming pool were all well maintained. Most importantly, they took their time to work out an adjustment to our booking when we needed a last minute extension. This has been the best birthday weekend experience thanks to them!!! We highly recommend for anyone going to Cornwall. Thank you so much!! Favour C"

"The Great Western Hotel is an older building which I understand is shortly to undergo some sort of refurbishment. We received a good standard of service. Staff were pleasant and unfailingly helpful. Breakfasts were freshly cooked and of good quality."

"The hotel is set in lovely grounds and our balcony looked over the beautiful trees. The room was extremely comfortable and with everything we needed. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. The room service breakfast was excellent. We had a very relaxing stay and look forward to visiting again."

"Our lodge was spacious and very clean upon arrival. The only downside of the holiday was the swimming pool opening times. Advertised as open from 9am but had to wait at least an hour on a couple of days due to the chlorine levels not being right, which was an inconvenience. Also, the takeaway menu from the restaurant was limited on a few nights. Apart from that, we would certainly visit again. Ideal for a family getaway and only 15 minute drive to Padstow."
