The staff, especially at check-in, did not seem to match the luxury feel of the hotel. There is no sense of welcoming the guests, and at times showing annoyance at the guests because they couldn’t navigate their own front desk system. Also, my Marriot
points were not granted after checking with the front desk 3 times. And it’s still been 1 month now.
On the topic of asking things 3 times, I had to also pester the front desk for a sofa bed to be set up in my parents’ room with my sister. They took 3 hours and constant pestering. They had assumed I did not pay for a 3rd guest. I had to prove it via Expedia. For a luxury hotel, this information should’ve been captured when I paid for everything upfront.
