"I've stayed there several times over the past six months. The property is being renovated. The rooms have been upgraded. So, everything is nice, new, and clean. As of March 2026, the hotel's main lobby and banquet rooms are now being renovated as well. Looks like it'll be nice when the work is finished. There is a nice lake in front of the hotel, which is basically part of an office park. The surrounding area is safe, good for walking, etc. The hotel is near John Wayne Airport, South Coast Plaza, offices in the Costa Mesa Business District, and about five miles from Newport Beach. The staffers are also nice and helpful. "

"Had a really great stay at the Avenue of the Arts Costa Mesa. The whole place has a calm, artsy vibe, and the lake right next to it makes it feel super relaxing. The room was clean, comfortable, and nicely designed (the bed was especially great). Loved the location too—right by the Segerstrom Center for the Arts but still quiet. Also recommend grabbing a drink or dinner at the Silver Trumpet Restaurant & Bar—the lakeside setting is really nice, especially at night. Would definitely stay here again!"
