"The facility is very nice. However, since I booked through Expedia I got a very old room , clean but run down for sure. I also had ants in my bathroom. When I called to let them know they just sent a man with some bug spray and then our room smelled of poison. We did enjoy our dinner there the food was excellent and also our breakfast. I did have to pay for breakfast as again I booked through Expedia. I did not even think to call direct. I know better now. They even gave me a card that says...

"Very nice room. Comfortable beds, clean, nice bathroom with amenities. Micro & fridge in the room, electric fireplace for heat. A packet of cookies to enjoy in the room. You order breakfast from a limited menu, pick the time you want it & they deliver it to your room. Food was ok. Nice outside view."

"Great location for visiting Hearst Castle; nice room, lobby, friendly helpful staff. Unfortunately a bit run down from what it obviously once was when built (50 years ago or more?). Toilet dripped, unprofessional fixture attachment to walls (plumbing and electrical). Hallway skylights need replacing. Breakfast was a disappointment; just the basics, cereal, waffle maker, toast, apples and bananas, few other items, small generic muffins."

"Pet friendly stay. It was calming area restaurants close by, main street and down town is close drive. The rooms were clean, staff is friendly and beach right across with convenient walking path. "

"Safe and secure place to stop and have some rest. There is an indoor pool that was very nice and my kids enjoyed it. Restaurant was within walking distance- about 2 minutes. Beautiful scenic California coast line for you to enjoy. I would stay again."
