"The house was great and in perfect condition.
Great location as it is 3 min from the Inari shrine and close to the train station which is always helpful.
Nothing to complain about except 1 thing: there was no pool table as shown on the photos and we were not told about it. The guy who gave us the keys told us it is being fixed, which is fine but we would have prefered to know beforehand as we were very excited about it.

"We stayed for 2 nights. Hotel is walking distance from the train station which is convenient. You are able to rent a bike for free! So much fun. Great amenities. Staff are so kind, nice and very helpful. They also speak English. There is Lawson next to the hotel so you can easily walk over there to buy snacks and drinks. We enjoyed it and highly recommend it! "The hotel is amazing overall. The staffs were friendly & helpful. Very big bed for us as family with small kid. Even though is close to Kujo sta. but a bit of work to transfer to the main lines."

"I've read all the reviews, and I'm baffled by any negative responses. This hotel exceeded our expectations. We're a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teenagers) and we booked the family quad (7th floor room) which was simply amazing. 2 bathrooms, sitting area and plenty of room- this was a big room even by American standards. Plenty of amenities: waters daily, sleep tablets, toothbrushes, brushes, pajamas to wear, coffee/soda in the basement, pour over drip coffee and kettle in the room. I just can't think of anything to complain about. I see what people have said about it being a bit far from things, as it was maybe a 15 minute walk to Nishiki Market or Gion district, but that was never a problem for us. The train stop was 200 meters away from the hotel entrance. The convenience stores were right below us. The staff brought us cappuccinos as we checked in. And the sweet hotel gym had a full set of free weights, 2 bikes, a few treadmills and other equipment. It was nicer than many American gyms. Again- nothing to complain about here! Beautiful hotel. "
"Rooms were clean. Breakfast was excellent. We have 2 choices. The buffet at Le Temp or the japanese restaurant on M3. My son tried the japanese style BF set and said its delicious. If we are going back in Kyoto. I will choose the same hotel.

"I enjoyed my stay at JR WEST GROUP VIA INN PRIME KYOTOEKI HACHIJOGUCHI. It's located within a 5-minute from Kyoto Station and has a 7-Eleven which is linked to the main lobby. The main challenge is finding your way out of Kyoto Station which is huge and confusing but no fault of the hotel! :)
The room was a good size (not big but comfortable) and had a writing desk which made it easy for me to do my work and have my takeout meals. At the ground floor lift lobby, there's a sort of "buffet table" of daily consumables such as toothbrushes and shavers.
The staff were friendly. Checking in and out was easily done at the automated kiosks. I loved the surroundings of the hotel. The area it was located in was safe, clean and quiet. It was easy to walk to the Keihan bus terminal at Avanti Building so that I could buy tickets for and board the airport limousine bus to Kansai International Airport.
I would absolutely choose to stay in this hotel again if I were visit Kyoto again."
"We really enjoyed our one night at this hotel.
The room was perfectly large enough for the two of us in two separate queen beds, which were really comfortable. The bathroom was small but good.
Location is excellent, right next to the hotel.
Would definitely stay here if we came to Kyoto again."
"Wow — amazing stay!
This was the best hotel we stayed at during our trip to Japan. The breakfast buffet was incredible — so many delicious options to choose from! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, always going out of their way to make us feel welcome. We also loved the complimentary drinks available all day, which was a nice touch. The location is perfect, just across the street from Kyoto Station, making it super convenient for sightseeing and travel.
We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely return next time we’re in Kyoto!
