Location is pretty good, you walk out of the hotel and almost straight into the subway. Directly opposite the hotel you can venture into a maze of restaurants, retail and cafes. The staff were friendly and did their best with our respective language barriers. The bed was almost rock hard, maybe its a Korean preference with a firm mattress and that might be a consideration for some. Whilst there is some surrounding noise as surrounding places kick on until late, this didn't bother me.

Had a really nice stay ! Steps away to Hanok Village with so many cozy cafes, bakeries, restaurants and microbrews ! We hope to stay here again! Clean room and cute lobby!

Rude Receptionist Cursed Us in Korean
This male receptionist is the worst and rudest guy I've ever met, can't believe it happened in hospitality industry. My bf and I asked him if he speaks Chinese or English, he denied, and when my bf tried to use translation app and ask if they have wall adapters to borrow, I heard the receptionist kept murmuring in Korean, like 7-8 sentences. Since I watched many Korean dramas, I heard "michoso" and "shibal", which are Korean words for crazy and f*ck. This is ridiculous and unacceptable. I said "You thought I don't know what Shibal means? Shibal!"

Great location, non-existent service.
We stayed 4 nights, every afternoon we returned to the room and it had not been cleaned. So we had to go back to reception every time and ask for a clean. Then, once the room was cleaned only one towel was provided. Again, we had to go back downstairs every day to ask for a second towel, sometimes twice. The front desk staff were more interested in their devices and barely notice you when you're coming in and going out. The front doors of the hotel remain open/unlocked all night and you do not need a room key to operate the lift. So avoid if you're security conscious. We had a king bedded room but the bed definitely didn't measure as a standard king size. The mattress is also very very firm. There are tea and coffee making facilities but no tea of coffee provided - bring your own. The bathroom door was broken and needed 2 people to slide it shut, otherwise expect to be facing your bed and room mate 3 feet away from the toilet. The towels are barely bigger than the bath mats. Shower pressure was good. Bottled water and popcorn was available at any time from the gaming room. Interesting x-rated vending machine in the gaming room too. Location wise, the hotel is right next to the station. Street food markets line the street in the evenings so expect a a lot of street noise until late. Fantastic laneways across the road with all sorts of restaurants and cafes. Easy walk to Myeongdong, Bukchon, Insadong, Gwangjang Market.

Many things I liked about this hotel:Very close to the multiple subway stations and Insa Dong. Big screen and free Netflex. You can control the room temp, lights, and the TV with one remote control. King size bed and friendly staff!!! Good price for all of these. It was actually smoking free- clean room smell and quiet. The shower water volume and temp was quick to the control. I would definitely come back here.

The positive: good location. The negative: Staff communication skills very lacking. often left front desk unattended for significant periods of time( up to 20 minutes). Room very small and when requesting different room was flat out told no by staff. No local programming on TV. Only one towel supplied for two people. I could go on but the bottom line is i would recommend finding someplace else.

I’m a solo traveller and I picked this place because of its convenient location - directly opp Ikseondong which is definitely worth exploring, right in front of the hotel is exit 4 of Jongno-3ga subway which houses 3 lines. Great for travelling around via subway. Only downside is I have to carry a huge luggage up a flight of stairs as I make my way to Seoul Station. Unfortunately no lift or escalator for that. Plenty of eating places at night. It does get a bit noisy because of the food tents but the vibes are good. Remember to check out level 2 where they have free popcorn, cold water bottles and microwave for guests to use. Room wise its understandably small. Quite comfortable for 1 pax. Water pressure at the shower is great! Would be good if they can add in bidets. Remote control for TV was in Korean. Couldn’t get the TV to work until the last day when I manage to find Netflix. May be good to have a translation guide for the remote. Love that their remote can control the AC and lights. So do play with the remote control a bit. Staff are generally friendly. Do wish that they speak more English. I have to wait 15mins at the lobby because there wasn’t anyone at the reception when I arrived in the afternoon. Could have a bell or intercom so we can reach someone. Overall it was a pretty fantastic stay! Very safe neighbourhood. I walk around at night alone and it was okay. Will come back and stay again when I’m in Seoul.

Paid for deluxe, but received small, dingy, standard room. Nightstand was very dusty. Only one towel. No one checked identification at check in. No one at desk morning after and no answering phone when called for assistance. Later that morning, when front desk staff arrived, he was rude. The location of the hotel was excellent, but if you don’t speak Korean, make sure to have a translation app so you can communicate with staff. Do not pay for deluxe, because you might not get it and don’t expect to get help from staff. Be prepared to sleep in a small, dark dingy room. However, enjoy easy access to the metro and walking to many sites and restaurants.

The location of the property was convenient. There's an entrance to the Jong-no subway station as you step outside. Across the road is Ikseon-dong hanok village where there are many cafes which are good for people who like desserts. At night, the area is quite lovely. Lots of tents set up at night and people eat and drink until late.

The staff is excellent, with better English than mine (as an American tourist) and were happy to help me get directions to shops when I asked for help. The location, though, is really the best part. It's right in the best part of Insadong, with restaraunts and street food everywhere. And the main street of Insadong is right there too. Being immediately at exit 4 of the Jongno-3 station means you can also get almost anywhere else in the city via subway. That station houses three lines, so you probably won't even need to transfer. I would come back here in an instant!

I arrived earlier and the friendly staff who spoke English very well, let me check in because the room was available. The location was very easy to find as it was at exit 4 of JongNo 3 (Sam) ga. Surprised to see how vibrant the outside was as they have their restaurant facilities linked to the streets with a marquee, creating a nice atmosphere. The location is perfect because it has a nice old town feel to it with a variety of cafe’s, restaurants and boutique shops to explore. Excellent service from the staff. Great location. Facilities were good considering the price. Overall a great 8.5/10. Would stay there again.

The hotel was really convenient and was located right next to one of the metro station's exits and near ikseondong. The decor of the place was really nice and there was a jazzy vibe to it. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only thing that could be improved would be that there isnt space catered for putting luggage and that the mattress is pretty hard. All in all, the stay was comfy and lovely!

We loved the vibes in the lobby and the clean look in the room. Location is great with the subway exit right in front and across the street the korean tradition village with many cafes. Very relaxed environment and great for those who like some peace and quiet in the middle of downtown Seoul. It would have been great if there was a microwave available to guest use and self operated washing machine and dryer.

Location of the hotel was good. As it was outside of the subway. However there is no elevator to head to the exit so it might be difficult for those who will be carrying heavy luggage otherwise if you’re taking a cab it’s alright as I did that on the last day by making reservation with the hotel. Jongo station is very big even though it’s centralised to go anywhere even though there a lot of walking Staff are very friendly. And it feels like home for sure. Already missing Seoul!
