I can say with absolute certainty it was my son favorite hotel during our entire trip in Japan. he was delighted to sleep on a boat bed with Mr. Otopus and climbing up and down the boat chimney. "We LOVED our stay at The Screen. The room was a wonderful size, beautifully decorated, with a sliding door separating the bed from the couch area. The staff was incredibly helpful and thoughtful- we felt like they personalized our stay with origami in the bedroom and a note on our breakfast platters the final day. The area was amazing! Close to the park and buses, only a 10 minute walk from the metro line, and 15 minutes from amazing shopping and dining options. 10/10 would stay there again!! "

"Hotel is modern and located right at a subway stop (4 stops or 7 minutes to Kyoto train Station). Walking distance to Imperial Palace and the gardens. Quick taxi or subway rides to other sites. We had a courtyard facing room which was very quiet. There are blackout drapes so the room stays dark in the morning. Room is modern with a nice shower and fairly comfortable beds. They provide umbrellas in the lobby that can be borrowed for rain days."
