"The room itself was very nice, and the host was friendly and helpful. When we first arrived, it felt as though the property was closed, which was a little strange. Unfortunately, there was no hot water both in the evening and the following morning, which we reported to the host on departure. "This used to be my school until 1982 and it has been lovingly restored into a beautiful hotel with great amenities in amazing grounds. Ample parking and a safe environment leads to a peaceful and relaxing stay. "

Lovely breakfast and enjoyable but only feedback would be that a few more options on the continental breakfast would have been nice. And coffee machine made warm coffee not hot. "I have stayed here before but always had a room overlooking the car park. This time I was on the other side and unfortunately the constant road noise did not make for a good nights sleep. The telly was also not working in the room but by the time I noticed I was already ready for bed so left it until the morning to let staff know."

"We are vegetarian so the breakfast menu was ok but not that vast for us. There were still great options. The staff were friendly and helpful. I think the rooms were clean but needed a bit of an upgrade in terms of things looking a bit old. Overall we had a great stay."

"Property was as expected. Parking was plentiful, room was clean, food was good. Stayed here with my 85 year old mother-in-law who has mobility issues and is dairy, wheat and gluten free. Food was a little limited and the lack of a non dairy spread at breakfast was a surprise. however the staff went out of their way to accommodate her and as this was her first time in any hotel she loved it."

"Very good overall. . Like a lot of hotels, the food is good but overpriced. The location and view of the river from some rooms is fabulous. Staff are friendly and try their best for you. Unfortunately I booked last minute in order to get a peaceful night’s sleep and the fire alarm woke the whole hotel at 3am. Great that it worked, but there was no fire!
