Lovely, quiet, room within the stable annex just opposite the main reception. Beautiful, historic, buildings set in stunning parkland. Lots of beautiful vistas if you are planning to have a wedding/wedding photography here.

what an interesting hotel. The grounds are the best part, you can walk for miles, very nice. The main building is nice. Our rooms were "in the stables" but I think you can rent rooms in the main house as well. The staff didn't seem very happy at all.

Stunning dog friendly retreat

Stunning location. Being located in the Stables meant it was really easy to unpack straight to our room. Very dog friendly but if you’re staying there for one night with one dog the dog supplement is a little over the top. Very friendly staff. On the eco-friendly side, we found the air conditioning was on before we arrived. In this day and age this is unacceptable.

Beautiful place

Beautiful property all around. Pros: cool historic building on gorgeous grounds. Comfortable room with nice bed and shower. Restaurant open late and very accommodating. Hollie was our server and she was very charming. Cons: the girl checking us in was not very informative. She barely told us where our room was and didn't give us any information about the restaurant, hotel, grounds etc. We got lost trying to find our room. And were curious about walking around the property.

A very nice stay in a historic hotel set in beautifully maintained grounds . Staff friendly and food very good. Hotel is well staffed and grounds are very well maintained . Breakfast was great . Surprised that they do not have a sa or pool however . , but there are many excellent country walks in the area .
