Zero Star Review – Glory Beach Resort
I booked 4 nights and 5 days at Glory Beach Resort in Port Dickson, expecting a comfortable family stay. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing from the moment I checked in.
The unit I was given was completely run down and honestly unlivable. The condition was very poor and nothing like what is shown in the photos online. I immediately requested if there was a better unit available. Staff showed me another unit on a different floor, but it was in the same unacceptable condition.
Because of this, I decided to cancel my stay and requested a refund. However, the management refused, stating that it is their policy that no refunds are allowed under any circumstances — whether you stay or not. I had no choice but to leave and book another hotel, losing the full amount I paid to Glory Beach Resort.
My advice to future guests: do not book in advance without seeing the actual unit first. The pictures look nice, but the reality is completely different. Don’t get misled by the promotional images.
Very disappointing experience. I would not recommend this resort to anyone."
"Booked a water villa for the New Year celebration and had a wonderful stay. The villa was cozy yet felt very luxurious, with a beautiful private pool that I used throughout the day. Because of that, I often needed extra towels and floor towels, and housekeeping was excellent. They were very responsive and always provided everything I needed. The room was comfortable and well maintained, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Overall, a relaxing and memorable experience."
"We stayed in the sky villa. Expedia promised highest floor when booking but was given mid level instead. Room is neat but not all featured room facilities are functioning. Steam room wasn’t functioning as it should and has a smell. Pte Pool is generally ok with some dead bugs. Shower gel bottle in the bath room is empty. We made our request at the front desk on check in day and the next day again requested to the house keeper when we go for our lunch when we met the house keeping team outside the next room. Request was noted but no actions were done and we return to the room with empty shower gel bottle (those that mounted onto the wall and can only open with their special key type). Thankfully we brought our own shower gel.
For both nights of our stay there, when evening comes, lots of birds can be seen resting near the balcony and pte pool area making lots of noises. The resort ought to do something to it as the noise are disturbing which lasted till night from evening. That said, bird poops are on the ledge of the balcony. We feel that the public swimming pool is not to our favor. Too bad there is no function here to upload the photos to what I have mentioned. "
"Breathtaking Views, Warm Hospitality, and Very Convenient Location
I stayed here for 7 days and absolutely loved every moment. The view is breathtaking, and the room was clean with fresh, clean sheets that smelled wonderful. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing.
What truly made this place special was the hospitality. The owner, Jane, and her assistant were incredibly kind and made me feel like I was among friends and family. I didn’t have a car during my stay, but I didn’t need one — the location is very convenient, just a 7-minute walk to a beautiful beach, great cafés, restaurants, and delicious street food. It’s also a 35-minute walk to the Saturday night market.
Jane and her assistant even volunteered to take me into town to the supermarket twice, which was so thoughtful and appreciated. The maintenance man was also fantastic — always available and ready to help with anything 24/7. He even carried heavy water bottles to my room for me.
This is the kind of place where you feel cared for, relaxed, and at home. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, kindness, and convenience."
