"Renovations in the area make for a louder environment than usual, but having been there in the past, it should get quiet again - when they’re done. Might be the coolest bar in Texas! The drinks are cold and refreshing, the bar staff is friendly, and everyone’s having a great time. The bar is located close to the reception area, and just across the way from the hotel’s garden. Smoking is allowed on the bar patio. The bar has an intimate ambiance and a nice upstairs area where you can drink at a higher elevation. Easy access to the bar from the rooms above, via stairs or one of two elevators. Bar opens at 11AM, so check in, drop your bags in your room, and head to the bar for some relaxing beverages! You can enjoy a coffee at the Menger’s sister property, The Crockett Hotel, in the morning with a short walk to their cafe before settling in at The Menger Bar later. "

"The property is on the Riverwalk and has a lovely Atrium. Very nice and clean. Parking is expensive so plan on that. Centrally located and has live music on the weekends."

Parking is pricey through the hotel but worth it to have the sense of security in a garage compared to an open lot with quick valet service. Spacious double queen room with a working mini fridge and coffee maker."

"My stay was excellent. The location was ideal just a short walk to major attractions like the Alamo and the River Walk, so I never needed my vehicle. The staff and valet service were both courteous and professional. I would absolutely choose to stay here again."
