"We really enjoyed our short stay here. The staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble for them, the room was spotless and the rooftop pool was perfect for us to relax and dip in and out of to cool down. We can’t wait to return and will happily recommend! "
"Hostel itself was really nice, cute decor with great kitchen and laundry amenities. Quick walk to the beach and bus station. However, the area around the hostel was not the nicest and it was a long walk to the historic centre to find nice places to hang out. There was also a problem with cockroaches in the room that made it very difficult to get a good nights sleep. Steer clear of the ground floor rooms!"
"Excellent hotel for the old city with plenty of interesting places to explore and restaurants to choose from close by. The decor is very different and a wonderfully alternative place to stay."

The largest city of the Canary Islands appeals with its beaches, history and carnival. Enjoy beautiful scenery, historic tours, watersports and colorful pageants.
Great choice if you want to have an amazing beach near but also the benefits of a city (shopping, cultural sites and good transport links to the rest of Gran Canaria). Also, locals are the most welcoming and friendly people I've ever seen.

Good
The Las Canteras beach is fantastic. The reef keeps waves down and the water warm. There are lots of fish from really close to the beach to see with goggles or snorkel at close range. It is very clean (it is no-smoking) and relaxed.

I usually stay closer to Las Canteras northern end. I would always recommend the city for a visit but definitely stay closer to the port and the beach for bar, restaurants etc. Inflated priced marina restaurants only in this immediate location

So much to see and do. We try visit about once a month and still find new things 20 years on. Most certainly an amazing city.
"The best thing about this hotel is the staff and the food. The property is a lovely art deco style building that needs some updating but the rooms are spacious and the views of the port are great.
The third time we have stayed here, the buffet breakfast is great with a nice selection and the food in the bar is great too.
Staff are always so friendly and accommodating.
Close to bus connections, easy walk to Triana where there is a great selection of shops and restaurants.
Kids love the pool on the roof terrace although it was a bit windy during our stay so we didn’t spend too much time there.
