I liked the attitude of the staff. That was positive. However, the TV quality was terrible and the fact that there was no view from the window - just a wall was disappointing. Therefore, it was not good value for money so left after two nights to move to a four-star hotel which cost only $10 per night more than Silver Mounts.

Clean with good location
Room was clean. Breakfast was a basic mix of western/Khmer options. Staff was helpful in arranging tuk tuk to see Silk Island after my boat tour canceled. Location was easy walk or short cheap tuktuk ride to the major sites of Phnom Penh.

This is a nice little hotel in a convenient location near the museum and palace. Not fancy but clean and friendly. Be sure to go to David's Noodles around the corner.

This is a centrally located hotel close to restaurants, sites, shopping. And the staff is always so gracious, helpful and welcoming. A fine hotel I would enjoy anytime travels bring me to Phnom Penh.

For the cost ($22) I would stay here again. But it is old, needs updating, and the A/C kept shutting off in the middle of the night!

Takes a while to get Wi-Fi, they still use ancient equipment, maybe they will finally upgrade this before my next visit, I’ve stayed here a dozen times for the location

A rather faded hotel that was once probably quite good - but now no-one (except the cleaning lady) has an real interest in it. Rooms OK but run down. A general feeling of 'what might have been'. 6/10.

My stay at SilverRiver Hotel
So close to the river, and so many businesses nearby, at a good rate. Breakfast nice, but only so so, so if you have choice of cheaper room without breakfast I would go with that. You can always get breakfast for $4 at hotel, or go someplace else for that.

Location is seedy even though it's close to the Musuem. The streets nearby are quite dirty and smelly and I would definitely choose a different area next time for this reason alone. The hotel itself is very nice for the cost.

This is a basic hotel don’t expect anything not even the so called free wifi. The housekeeping maids are rude and sometimes they don’t give you the amenities and when you asked for it like the hand towel they are grumpy. While some staff speaks English many dontyand don’t even understand what we are saying. When we first arrive there were banging and drilling noises upstairs and throughout our stay especially our last night the floor above us seems to be dragging furniture throughout the night (unless it’s ghost!). We were booked in for 10 days and our room wasn’t cleaned as we can see the build up of soap scum in the shower floor and little insects on the room tile floor. I should have taken a picture of the sheet on the bed which has stains and a hole. The only good experience I had was one of the guys at reception was very helpful in going out to get me a certain Khmer style noodles that they don’t serve in their restaurant which I appreciate.

There was a bit of a smell to the room (we aired it out and put air con on). The room had two floors (neat) but don’t recommend that room for everyone as stairs were extremely steep. Location was great and staff very helpful. Easily walked to the royal palace. They organized our airport pick up and car to go to Kampong Chhnang and all went very smoothly

A Silver Lining
'Had an excellent stay here, in spite of not liking the city very much. This hotel had almost everything I needed (lacked only a fitness room), all in good condition, and no unnecessary accoutrements that I didn't use. Fair price, so definitely a good value. The staff was helpful without being intrusive. I'd definitely stay there again if I have business in that area.

Great value hotel. Located well for the sites, but street side can be rowdy. Took a room on the back side, view of a parking lot, but MUCH quieter. Staff is GREAT. Left my cellphone behind during a room change, cleaning person promptly & smilingly rushed it to me. WiFi is a bit sketch. Overall good hotel & room for the price.

Fantastic staff. Everyone has a great attitude and is very helpful. Totally recommend this hotel. I have stayed there multiple times and each time was a great experience. The only thing I wish could be changed is to add Fox News to the TV menu. It has been greatly improved with the addition of CGTV as an alternate channel to CNN which is an opinion station rather than a news station.

A pleasant stay.
It was a pleasant stay.I had to change rooms within 5 minutes as the air conditioner was leaking water on the floor. This was not a problem with the reception staff as a room opposite had become available. The restaurant staff, were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was adequate and catered for the all tastes. It would of been great though if it had a pool to relax at after a day out touring.

It's been a bargain since 2012
I first discovered the Silver River for myself back in 2012. I've been staying there on and off all this time. The best rooms are either those at the front with a balcony or those at the back. The breakfast is worth getting, order eggs and the rest of the food will compliment them. Close to Riverside and priced very well. A good bargain

Pleasant stay, especially because of the friendly staff, who seemed genuinely interested in my family’s comfort. Phearun was particularly helpful, but the rest of the hotel team, including Mr. Bora were very helpful and accommodating. The property is on a street that has a backpackers’ feel to it, in terms of the activity and types of shops around, which can be a plus or minus.

I had an very enjoyable vacation there and stayed at this hotel many time during the last year. It is in a good location and easy to get to many of the typical visitor sites in walking distance or accessible by Tuk Tuk. Everyone in the area speaks English and they all use the dollar as their currency. Prices are extremely reasonable compared to California. Very friendly people.
