Stayed 13 days. Park is beautiful but over touristed. The food was terrible and overpriced. The breakfast is average and not half as good as the neighboring resort in the park, which I also had the pleasure of staying at, but they had no more beach villas so I moved to an ocean villa in Plataran. Plataran does not meet the standards of a 4 star resort. The bed was extremely hard, there was no real beach access and everything was really overpriced. The food in their dinner restaurant was salty and about the same as an American chain restaurant. I ate my dinners at the neighboring resort which I recommend. Most people in Plataran were traveling on cheap packages and seemed the type you might find on a cruise, this might be the reason they get such high marks from customers, they were not seasoned travelers. The staff try to be nice but they are poorly trained and doting, they come off as being very disingenuous. The neighboring resort has a very well trained staff that seem have a better feel for western needs. The coral around the resort is dead, the monkeys get very aggressive and I was close to being bitten in my villa. This is not really an eco resort evidenced by the amount of plastic used, chlorine from the pools leaking into the ocean, fishing done all over the “non fishing” areas and people walking though the pool/bar area at low tide to collect clams etc. Overall Plataran and was disappointing.

Paradise on earth. A bit of a distance from the airport but the scenic trip into the resort prepares you for the nature and beauty you are about to experience. The staff treat you like family coming home. The accommodations are outstanding, the facilities impeccable, the spa services so elegant; all built with conservation in mind. Never before have we experienced such a place, so quiet, so embedded in nature, so luxurious. This easily has become our favourite place and we look forward to returning again soon. If you love nature and are looking for a place to rejuvenate outside the normal touristy spot to experience Bali this is the place.

I stayed in a monsoon villa only meters from the water. The deer regularly passing by.. the villa was well lated out with plenty of room.. good shower. Pod coffee. Bose sound .. did a night dive with Komang from blue seasons bali at the jetty seeing many mandarin fish mating was really amazing and would recommended even for in experienced divers.. . The food at the menjangan next door was excellent..

The outside bathroom isn’t great as every time it rains everything gets soaked, also the sound of the rains will keep you awake all night.

Above and Beyond.
Out stay here at Plataran has been an utter delight. The location is heavenly, particularly the view from our villa. The staff here are excellent. Very attentive and professional. Particularly Zul, Darma and Boi who went above and beyond to make our stay here a truly magical experience.

Top Resort and Location in Bali
These guys are amazing and the accommodation is fantastic. We loved our holiday so much. Zip and Boi went out of their way to make it special. To look after our daughter with Coeliacs Disease was no problem and when she was a little unwell they looked after her and brought her special teas and made wonderful GF food to her requests. If we had this much ease travelling every time we go overseas it would be amazing. Plataran goes the extra mile and then another extra mile to help you enjoy your stay. The pool is amazing, diving at menjangen island is amazing, the food is amazing. We loved the complimentary activities, biking and snorkeling at the jetty and we had lots to do every day at the resort. Amazing bike track is easy to find and on sunset is a real nature tour. Only 2km each way from the main building. Don’t hesitate, this area and resort are one of the jewels of Bali

Peaceful luxury
The staff are attentive to any request and proactively delivered unexpected touches. The rooms are beautiful, the spa relaxing, the food superb. Area activities (snorkeling, sailing, temples) are fun, affordable and also beautiful. The associated Octacon restaurant is very good with diverse Indonesian/European delights. The drive from Denpasar is long (~4 hrs) have the driver break it up, for example visit Plataran's "The View" restaurant for a meal and an outstanding mountain-top view approaching the park/resort. Relax and be soothed by the Balinese lifestyle!

Tranquil beach hotel in the jungle
We enjoyed 6 nights in this secluded in the national park hotel; as a family of 4 we had two villas joint together. Superb experience: tranquility, excellent service by a very friendly staff & delicious food. Animals (deers, birds, monkeys) arefreely wondering around unscarred- amazing experience to observe them! Expensive excursions were offered by the hotel, therefore we organised our trips with local people (4 times cheaper). The hotel's name includes "spa", but there is only massage on offer; the actual spa is being built.

We stayed in one of the Mangrove Villas, with Privat Beach only Deers and Monkey's shared the beach with us. We had a great time. Food was good, i had best calamare in my life. Super breakfast with fresh juice and fresh fruit. We could take a mountainbike without extra charge and make a tour in the Dschungel, it was a bitty that the Dschungel was so try, the need rain. We are going to do it again.

想像した以上にステキな部屋で、自然に囲まれた最高の環境でした。少し高いけど、泊まるならマングローブオーシャンヴィラを絶対にお勧めします。 目の前の海の波の音を聞きながら、ゆったりしたり、お昼寝したり、鹿や猿が歩いているのを眺めながらのんびりできます。国立公園内なので、様々な動物や虫の声が聞こえ、豪華な部屋でキャンプをしているようでした。ムンジャンガン島へのシュノーケリングも最高でした。

Expérience memorable a limiter à quelques jours
Depuis la route il faut compter 10min de voiture pour atteindre le lobby à travers la forêt : 360 hectares du parc à traverser. A l’arrivée c’est different de ce que vous connaissez : un Brief va vous êtes fait sur le concept et les activités possibles. Nous avons eu l’an chance d’être surclassé en Mangrove Villa (au lieu de Forest Villa) : réservation 3 jours avant l’arrivée, sur booking permanent car mieux vaut vendre moins cher que n’en pas vendre les Mangrove Villas. La mangrove villa c’est un salon d’extérieurs (avec les bruits d’eau sur la mangrove), un salon intérieur (avec une TV plus grande que vos enfants) une chambre (avec un autre giga TV) puis une SdB (sans AC sur cette partie car aération naturelle bien agréable). Vous etes dans un parc avec des animaux : oiseaux à gogo (150 espèces), chevreuil (quasi apprivoisé, ils broutent la pelouse à 2m de vous) et souris (ne demandez pas de piège car qui dit piège dit appât et qui dit appât dit certitude qu’elles viendront à 5h du matin. Cote restaurant pas folichon mais pas scandaleux, surtout que vous n’avez pas le choix vu les 360ha). Cote personnel extrêmement aimable, même trop (on finit par en avoir marre que tout va bien à chaque fois que l’on croise quelqu’un). Nous avons fait le snorkeling (1M de rouble dont 200k de taxe d’accès à l’île) : coraux et poissons magnifiques. 17 chambres c’est trop peu on se sent oppressé : plus de personnel que de clients. On ne se serait pas vu rester 1 semaine

The resort is located in a national park and it offers great comfort at the same time as it offers excellent opportunities to explore and enjoy the surrounding national park. I would particularly advice to walk slowly along the mangrove during low tide. Stand perfectly still for about 2-3 minutes and a wide array of colourful crabs will apear! We also strongly recommend having a massage at the SPA. The service at the resort is perfect!

Fantastic location, the most charming rooms I have ever seen, super warm welcome and caring service. Infinity pool with warm water and great cocktails perfect to relax and enjoy the dry sun in western Bali. Far from the airport, but it deserves the 4-5 hours required to reach this place! Had great fun going to Menjangan for snorkeling!

This was a most pleasant visit: excellent service, beautiful surroundings and a management who was very eager to keep us happy all the time. For instance, the spa was not yet in operation so for compensation we got free massage each day.
