"This place is a scam dont go there. It says Motel 6 on the outside but they charge you 40 dollars per dog, 20 bucks to check in early and the front desk guy watches every move you make on camera 24/7. Absolute scam and gives Monterey a bad name. They DBA Vagabond Inn..a little sign in the window but on Expedia theres a different picture because its Motel 6. When I asked the front desk guy he explained something not any language Ive ever heard....just mumbled.... something....wow. Creepy,...

"I paid over $500 for a room that was in a terrible condition. It was not clean, there were hairs on my pillow, covers had stains, the floor was not vacummed or cleaned. Also, we had a rental that was expensive and i had to be afraid to leave it outside. The manager mentioned not to leave anything valuable in the car. No breakfast or coffee. Basically you dont get anything…i would not recommend this hotel."

"Check in is supposedly at 3pm and we didn’t get a room till after 5pm because they weren’t done “cleaning” after we got our room the floor was super wet that my husband almost slipped. It felt dirty in there. We opened the blinds and all dirty and dusty. For what we paid it was terrible!!!!! And to top it off their wasn’t any parking close by!"

"We arrived and were greeted nicely by the hotel staff. We were told the coffee machine isn’t working in the lounge area, but that it would be fixed we thought our room was really cute and nice. Though the rooms are extremely small, not a lot of places to set things on. Our first and only real problem was the shower. At first it was so much pressure your skin came off almost came off, then the temp was unstable. When I tried to adjust it broke completely so to stripping. My husband fixed it...
