It has a very good location for getting in and out of the subway. There are many subway options nearby. It’s quite affordable if your plan is just to find a place to sleep and you’re traveling alone. The bathrooms and showers are shared, but they were decent. The only issue is the noise from the room doors — they make noise all night. Everyone has to use force to close them, which creates a lot of noise, especially at night. You can also hear the noise from other guests. People don’t seem to respect that others are sleeping, and the noise travels through the whole place. But if you’re just looking for a place to sleep and spend the day out exploring New York, it’s a good option. I wouldn’t recommend staying in during the day, though — the room is very small, but cozy.

This is a hostile not a hotel so you need to keep that in mind when renting here. This is not for the fussy. This is for those who want to save big on hotel fees yet be close to it all. Sleeping quarters are very small, but clean and bed is comfortable. Communal shower and bath are cleaned once a day by maids. Noise level is not too loud, but you can hear your neighbors on occasion. However, another hostile I stayed at a block away was much noisier and not as well run. Again this is a hostel, not a hotel. You have to accept some rough edges to obtain the exceptional savings. If you are OK with this, this is the place for you in NYC,

It’s great experience, very clean, except taking me for a while to find the hotel since there is no household number in the front wall and hardly recognized the hotel name. I recommend putting the household number on front of wall and have picture showing light switches.

The security lock on my door got jammed and I couldn't get out until I used my water bottle like a hammer to get it open. The bathroom door was next to impossible to open or close, it jammed really bad. The community sink was out of paper towels. The android app to get into my room and floor didn't work well and I had to get a normal door card. It's fine. It was a solid step up from a hostile as far as space privacy is concerned, but still have the problems of community spaces being tight. I personally think I'd not stay again, but it's fantastic if your on a budget and want something better then a hostile in a good area.

If you’re looking for a safe and affordable place then this is the right place for you! There’s a lot of transportation/ dining options around the area really close to many NY attractions. The only thing is that the rooms are small the beds are a decent size for someone who’s 5,2. Just make sure to bring some noise canceling headphones or some earplugs since is an open ceiling so you won’t be bothered with the noise, especially when people open/close doors. Overall a good experience!

The location is terrific ! The beds are comfy and clean as are the shared bathrooms. However !! If you are a light sleeper or claustrophobic this is not the place for you l! The pods are incredibly tiny ( as in .. you can basically just stand in them ) and there are no ceilings ! The night I stayed two guys are either side of me were snoring like saws and the earplugs and sound machine I was given did little to muffle the noise !!

I had found out that this was a fairly new hostel/hotel building. The price was a bit much, but if you figure in the location it balances out. The bed was really comfortable. If you are only there to sleep, this is the perfect place. It was rough my first night hearing others snoring as the walls do not go up to the ceiling. Its is quite "COZY" but I understand that space is a premium in NYC. It is a good starting spot to have an adventure
