During my stay in NYC I couldn’t have stayed at a better place. Even though guests share the bathroom, it was not a big deal and the staff were very nice and helpful. I will definitely stay there again.
This unique B&B in Chelsea lives up to its name as an Interfaith space… welcoming, great location and the price is great for those on a budget, close to 23rd street subway station!
Place was nice and clean. I recommend bringing slippers.

Liked: Cleanliness
Hotel is cute and the vibe is great. But no elevators (my room was in the last floor) and bathrooms are in the hallway shared with other guests and I did not know that.
False advertising, actually a hostel with shared bathrooms. Hostels are fine, but for 200$ a night a person wants a private bathroom. The person checking me in claimed that the hostel proceeds go towards feeding the homeless, but aren't there better things you can do for the homeless besides be a landlord in Chelsea? Most rooms are on a several floor walk up with no elevator, so beware if you have disabilities or many bags. The bed was fine.
It was easy and affordable for NY area. They still renovating the building but ever was clean. I left my backpack and it was exactly how I left. Also, I forgot one bag downstairs and i went to check in the morning, and the bag was how I left.
While a bath towel is provided, no washcloths are available so I had to improvise with a wet wipe in the shower, which is shared among the guests on each floor as is the toilet, which is in a separate room. There was noise from the front door opening and slamming from staff or guests coming and going, seemingly all night long, making a restful night’s sleep, all but impossible. I would have brought my own wash cloth had I known one would not be provided, but as the desk attendant told me, he has never used one himself. Folks, don’t try and save money by staying here if comfort in your hotel is important to you; just factor the cost of saying at a reputable hotel chain into the expense of your visit.
