"Great place for football lovers. Beautiful building, Spacious and clean. Staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. There is history, memorabilia and pictures of English football history and current achievements. The spa facilities are awesome and the staff too. No regrets and will definitely return. Just one negative was that our room had a shower but not a bath. I love to have a long hot bath when away but they tried to move us but the alternative rooms weren't suitable for us....

"We had a great stay! The family room we had was massive and perfect for what we wanted. It was very, very hot in the room with no way of cooling it down! We really struggled to sleep. We were given 2 fans, but they just blew the hot air around, it was unbareable. BUT because it's an old building we understand there is not a lot that could be done and they can't help the weather, but maybe portable air conditioning units might be worth considering. "Super stay - high quality furnished room, and quiet late on, despite the vibrant atmosphere at the adjoining pub. Only thing I could perhaps find fault with would be the high tog rating for the duvet (which made for a rather warm night !)"

"Lovely little pub accommodation, the room was spacious and the bed comfy. I would have liked an iron in the room, and a more powerful shower, as well as an earlier check in. The breakfast was lovely, as was the owner. A nice little place to stay."

"We choose The Boot Inn to stay overnight as we were meeting family for dinner in nearby Mercia Marina, we were warmly greeted and shown to our room which was as described on website, very comfortable and stylishly designed, breakfast was very much to our liking and the options were plentiful should you need. "After many years of attending this well appointed hotel finally i got an upgrade. The hotel is well situated for walks along Shakespeare's smug Trent. The Burton Bridge Brewery is over the road. Town centre a short walk. Parking more than adequate. I think if you can put up with the road noise of a weekend its one of the best hotels in town. Parking my confuse some as the hotel is on an island. Check during winter for flooding which can close the old bridge. Popular during the towns annual...
