"OK Lodge is just a name; what is is is a (nicely) extended and converted terraced house opposite a park; so now a few studio flats, with some common areas. Modern and clean but a couple of issues - like oven not even wired in; no table to eat off; and also whilst we booked for 3 adults and was confirmed; they called to say max was 2 adults & a child and would not refund the extra £50 for the 3rd adult (who couldn't now come of course) and I had to go through Expedia to get resolved. "The hotel was OK, but for the price I felt the room was dated compared to other budget hotels. No air con in our room, light switch controlled ALL lights in the room, so no bedside reading light which is really annoying when there's two or more of you sharing a room. TV channel options seemed to be hit and miss. Other than that breakfast was good and staff were very helpful and pleasant. In terms of location it was ideal, but if I was less fussy about location there are probably better value hotels in Maidstone. Oh and you have to pay for parking, not a massive charge, but just include it in the bill, otherwise it just feels like an unnecessary extra cost that I don't think is well advertised when booking"

"Little hidden gem! Absolutely stunning property. As soon as you walk through the door it’s like stepping back in time. Stunning decor with lots of character and interesting items to look at around the property. Host was warm and welcoming when I arrived. I will definitely be visiting this hotel again and have already started recommending to friends."

"Lovely staff, excellent restaurant and pub. Unfortunately, my room (The Periwinkle Room) had a not so good smell. Combined with no air-conditioning it made my stay fairly unpleasant and it was very hot inside the room. There is a fan located high attached to the wall but it really didn’t help much at all."

"Sincerely it was an experience I don’t want to repeat.The room wasn’t tidy. You can tell they only changed the sheets but didn’t properly clean the rooms. The fridge had a lot of food leftover, the cupboards had a lot of leftover groceries. Even the washing machine had a lot of laundry leftover from previous clients. There’s no toiletries please take your own. The room smelled so much like cigarettes that our clothes smelled like cigarettes.I booked two rooms for my family only for them to knock at 23:30 if we could give one of the rooms to two girls brought in by the police. I saw someone sitting for over 2 hours to check in but there was no one there and they were not picking the call."

I was aware when check-in was but wanted the information ahead of arrival. When we arrived at 3.30 people were still present at the property. The WiFi did not work for the entirety of our stay. We booked for 5 people and only provided with 3 towels, one of which was still wet. There were no hand towels either. There were no bin bags in the bins and we couldn't find any in the property. The instructions in the property were to take the rubbish out, which we did but was not easy due to the lack of bin bags. "
