"OK Lodge is just a name; what is is is a (nicely) extended and converted terraced house opposite a park; so now a few studio flats, with some common areas. Modern and clean but a couple of issues - like oven not even wired in; no table to eat off; and also whilst we booked for 3 adults and was confirmed; they called to say max was 2 adults & a child and would not refund the extra £50 for the 3rd adult (who couldn't now come of course) and I had to go through Expedia to get resolved. ORIDA Maidstone Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"All the staff were helpful The Breakfast area has a gluten free station with bread rolls etc and a designated toaster Shame they don’t get their sausages from Tesco as they are GF but they cooked me veggie ones instead which was lovely. The food on the Restaurant was amazing - I’m not usually one to rave over food but the Sea Bass meal was delicious Was unaware I had to pay £6 to park which I felt was a bit steep on top of the room"

"The hotel stands in its own grounds just of the M20 junction. It is large hotel with three floors and long corridors. Checkin went ok and we were allocated a third floor room overlooking the old tennis court (now used a truck park). The room is a little dated but functional. The shower worked ok inside a bathtub. There is no Aircon however as we stayed in a cool period, the windows gave adequate ventilation. The beds were firm and comfortable. The resturant provides a good Breakfast for £12 /head with a bar next door. We attended an event in the adjacent function room which was well organised. The leasure facilites are good with a large swiming pool, hot tub and steam room. Overall I would rate this mid 3 star hotel."

"Little hidden gem! Absolutely stunning property. As soon as you walk through the door it’s like stepping back in time. Stunning decor with lots of character and interesting items to look at around the property. Host was warm and welcoming when I arrived. I will definitely be visiting this hotel again and have already started recommending to friends."

"Sincerely it was an experience I don’t want to repeat.The room wasn’t tidy. You can tell they only changed the sheets but didn’t properly clean the rooms. The fridge had a lot of food leftover, the cupboards had a lot of leftover groceries. Even the washing machine had a lot of laundry leftover from previous clients. There’s no toiletries please take your own. The room smelled so much like cigarettes that our clothes smelled like cigarettes.I booked two rooms for my family only for them to knock at 23:30 if we could give one of the rooms to two girls brought in by the police. I saw someone sitting for over 2 hours to check in but there was no one there and they were not picking the call."

I was aware when check-in was but wanted the information ahead of arrival. When we arrived at 3.30 people were still present at the property. The WiFi did not work for the entirety of our stay. We booked for 5 people and only provided with 3 towels, one of which was still wet. There were no hand towels either. There were no bin bags in the bins and we couldn't find any in the property. The instructions in the property were to take the rubbish out, which we did but was not easy due to the lack of bin bags. "
