"Excellent Stay at The Stevenson Monterey Hotel! We had a wonderful stay at The Stevenson Monterey Hotel. The front desk staff were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful, making us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. The staff were courteous and attentive, and their excellent service made our stay even more enjoyable. The location is also excellent, with convenient access to Old Fishermanโs Wharf, restaurants, and nearby attractions. It was a great place to stay while exploring beautiful Monterey. Overall, we were very pleased with our experience and would happily recommend The Stevenson Monterey Hotel to anyone visiting the area. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so pleasant!"

"It was a very pleasant stay. The motel is centrally located. It was 6 min to the Wharf, Cannary Row, restaurants, a catholic church, the Aquarium..if you have a big family and then you will love thisโฆ Denny โs is a 1/2 block away. Rooms were very big. The only down side was the bathroom. Tub was very slippery, and the curtain did not close all the way. So the first time the water was all over the floor. But we always come prepared. Used a binder clip at the top to hold curtain closed. No more leaks. We would definitely stay here again. The room we had was very large and great view if the Ocean. Loved this place"

"We were extremely impressed with how immaculate everything was at El Castell Hotel! The rooms were spotless, the beds were comfortable, the AC worked great, and even the pool area was exceptionally clean and well maintained. Our only complaint was the noise due to thin walls and windows. We had extremely inconsiderate guests stomping and yelling throughout the night. Thankfully, the wonderful staff was incredibly accommodating and moved us to another room. Although we could still hear traffic, it was much more peaceful. We truly appreciated their kindness and willingness to make our stay more comfortable. The cleanliness and excellent customer service really stood out!"

"Everything was wonderful. Beautiful, clean place. Had a luxurious feel to it. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was that if you booked through a 3rd party like Expedia, you will be charged an additional 20.00 for the amenities, which is specifically for the breakfast, parking and the free wine you get (even if they clearly advertise that these are "included" in your booking). Be careful too, because Hotels.com or Expedia will charge a "property fee" of 20.00. If you ask what that is for, they will say it is for the breakfast, parking and the free wine BUT you will get charged an additional 20.00 by the hotel again. I disputed this, and I still haven't received my refund. The hotel itself was a wonderful experience. I am just very very upset with the deception and extra charges, when the ad clearly states the amenities are free. I chose this place over another because of the free breakfast, which is your typical continental breakfast. Little did I know, after checking in I would be charged for it."
