"Easy booking process. Communication was excellent as we were checking in later than usual. Imagine this! They actually called! Staff was courteous and efficient. The house is quaint and comfortable. The ambience was perfect for a romantic night. The room was super clean. I normally do not use tubs in hotel rooms, but I felt comfortable using the one in the walnut inn. Breakfast was prompt in delicious. Would actually stay here again next time we visit Springfield. Much better experience than...

"Room was cozy, clean, quiet and comfortable. We enjoyed time at the pool in the afternoon. It was well-maintained, perfect temp for early August and not crowded. Actually enjoyed visiting with 2 other couples as we relaxed in the water. My wife enjoyed the 24/7 complimentary coffee/tea in the kitchen while I enjoyed the fresh cookies! Breakfast was fantastic as the hosts served us delicious menu options. The property is quiet and peaceful. Plenty of seating on the porches front and back...

"This b&b is situated in a very cool area...The park across the street is great for a walk, or pickleball, tennis etc. The restaurants nearby are fantastic- no need to drive anywhere, really. Check out the Venice Cafe (actually a bar) for sheer funkiness..Dan, the friendly and garrulous host, provided sumptuous breakfasts and many helpful suggestions. We'll be back!"

"Amazing - if you are interested in the last few hundred years of U.S. History, I'd put this one on your list of places to visit. Just a great experience. Out of the innumerable artifacts dating back to the end of the 18th century, I particularly was taken back by the original copy of a page from April 15th, 1865 - I didn't have time to see everything. The property's stewards will most likely offer a tour and they are really nice folks. I thought this location was aggressively under priced. "
