"Lovely pub, clean and comfy room, friendly staff and great food. Nice size car park too. Well placed to explore Oxford as it's only 15 minutes drive to park and ride. Only a couple of small comments for housekeeping. Only one sachet of milk was provided per day which meant that one of us had to have our coffee back. Also, only the bin was emptied...the bed was left unmade, which is no problem, but why leave the dirty coffee cups and water glasses and not provide clean ones? Other than that,...

"Loved that my room was in the main house. My room was small but it faced the garden where I could watch birds and squirls. Missed the hedgehogs. My bathroom was a few steps away from the room and it was good. The shower was pretty small. I got in but could not move around so I decided to wash off in sinks. The staff were wonderful to me. The manager told me more about the Manor House and it's age. At one time my family lived there so it was exciting to be able to stay. Breakfast was...

"i was under the impression that the property was an old style pub with rooms, when i booked. But it turns out just to be a bed and breakfast. The room was lovely and had everything you need, plus more, like a trouser press, a bottle of filtered water with the coffee and tea facilities, a microwave in the shared lobby and plenty of parking and nice outside space to spend in the sunshine/evening"

"Always live the diner, but cannot say the same for the tvs - they rarely respond to their remotes and this time a member of staff have to come and power off the wall switch (you can’t risk it yourself in case the tv crashes to the floor)."

"Nice looking old building, full of character in keeping with surroundings, however the downside to this was poor internal layout. There was a (small) lift but even with a lift we still had few steps up & down to get to our room so not a problem for us but less abled/non ambient may not have been able to enjoy their stay. "Absolutely superb in every way. BUT.... The room(s) was/are under a sloped, tiled roof. Weather very warm. But it was unbearably hot. Unable to sleep properly. A real shame, as it was otherwise excellent."
