This is an extremel pleasant, historic hotel that is in a good location. I like the spa bath in the room and the food in the restaurant downstairs, which you can have brought up via room service is very good.

The attention to heritage style detail through-out was exceptionally good. Secure, but simple, access to the accommodation area. The old photos of the local area displayed throughout the rooms & corridoors were a great adfition, and very interesting.

don't expect much sleep

The hotel is pretty clean and a competitive price, but it is way too noisy. The pub and foyer downstairs play loud music until late at night. Their insistence on taking copies of credit cards and id is also a major identity theft risk.

A surprisingly pleasant stay. The room was large and clean with all the amenities I needed. Large bathroom as well. Very quiet and good undercover parking albeit a bit “tight”. Overall it was a good experience. I will go again next time I am in Melbourne.
