no AC open window, dirty, old, light at dresser made the entire room warm and unbearable. I complained to front desk and someone came in telling us opening windows. We stayed on 2nd floor facing street and it was noisy. Whenever we put the room card in, the light generated extra heat inside the room and we had to constantly remove the card to cool down the room. We had a restless night there.

Convenient for public transport and the castle was within walking distance. Unfortunately i was given a smoking room which stank like an old ashtray. The room was heavily nicotine stained and even after using freshner it still smelt.the Free breakfast was limited in choice and not topped up, so first in best selection. The staff are friendly and helpful and i will stay here again but i will specify a non smking room.

The location is excellent, just right next to main station for both bus and train. Many restaurants nearby. Overall is worthwhile the price. Highly recommended.

Great value stay
Our 1 night stop whilst passing through Matsumoto was best described as great value. Perfectly located next to train and bus stations, rooms relatively spacious and beds were comfy. Free breakfast included was also great

Very nice, but a bit noisy
Hotel is very well located, near the JR line and Bus station. The breakfast which came with the room was most welcome. The room was fine, well-appointed, and up to date. However, the walls are thin, and noises from other rooms are obtrusive.

Great location just 2mins from Matsumoto Station. Hotel is clean. Breakfast has mainly various bread selection. Staff is friendly.

Not near as good as Toyoko Inn. The rooms are smaller, the beds less comfortable. It looked really nice from the outside and the lobby, but that was distracting from the poor insides.

Good for the price
Hotel staff is nice. It's right next to the train station, so it makes traveling easy. The room is comfortable. Bathroom is VERY small. Everything was pretty clean. If this is all you can afford, then it's a good for your budget.

I stayed for 2 nights, room was tiny but we knew that. Breakfast was inlcluded and was ok - bread and pastries and also rice and soup. As close as it gets to matsumuto station and the cities nightlife. A walking distance from mataumoto castle (~15mins). Overall good value for 1-2 nights.

Generally a bit cramp, as expected from the small floor area. The double-bed is a bit cramp for two persons. But all amenities are there

Nice hotel close to JR station and restaurants.
Visited during Cherry Blossom season. It was beautiful ! The Castle is an easy walk from hotel.
