"The house was unexpectedly nice. We thoroughly enjoyed the cool (unheated) but not cold, jacuzzi pool after a long hot day in Manuel Antonio park. This is a nice place, but they really, really, need to let folks know that this place is very remote and the road is very bad. Great if you want to bring everything and just stay there, but it is a 45 minute drive on bad, unlit roads to come or go from the lodge. We could see several places where the hillside had given way into the road and one...

"What an amazing vacation we had. After 5 days most of the staff had become good friends. It was sad to say goodbye to them. The location is stunning too with 180 degree views of 2 beaches. Outside our room we had a monkey highway as each morning 10 monkeys would walk across the vines outside our room. The wildlife are real happy there as we saw sloths, friendly lizards and lots of monkeys. And last but not least, the food was amazing at both restaurants. We cant wait to return!"

"The tranquil atmosphere of the resort was wonderful. Quiet. Relaxing. Loved the deck we had with the table and chairs to sit back and read, relax or watch the view. The pool was a good size for actual swimming and deep. The room was so-so. No frills there. Staff was friendly and helpful. Food was good, just enough to hit the spot. It would have been nice to have snacks and drinks available to purchase in case we needed something. No TV but we don't watch it anyway. "

"Das Meer ist von jedem Zimmer und vom Restaurant aus zu sehen. Man hat einen phantastischen Blick über den Wald auf das Meer. Man erlebt tolle Sonnenuntergänge. Am Hotel ist man im Dschungel und sieht Papagei, Tukan, Affe, Faultier, Leguan etc. Das Personal besteht aus Engeln, ist super hilfsbereit. Die Küche ist koreanisch, auch das Frühstück frisch und gesund. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. "

"Lovely hotel with friendly staff. You are so close to Manuel Antonio park and the beach with a good choice or bars and restaurants. La Vela Boutique has a small pool which is not busy so getting a sunbed in the afternoon isn’t a problem. Big shout out to the pizza chef who managed to prepare and cook 2 superb pizzas during a power cut under the torchlight of an iPhone. A great place to stay.."
