"I was not able to stay at the hotel because the US state department advised Americans not to visit Mexico at the time of my reservation. The cartels were fighting at the time . I felt unsafe and the hotel would not refund my money."

"The staff are amazing always have a smile on their faces & they seem genuinely happy to help in anyway they can if at all necessary. The rooms are spotlessly clean . The location is perfect for peace & if you choose to walk out of the resort gate youre then right into the heart of all the lovely restaurants, loval clothes stores coffe shops etc with a vibrant atmosphere. This is my 3 rd time staying at the mahakel & I will always return . Great private beach areas four pools & beautiful gardens to walk around totally peaceful ohh and the spa is amazing & im a sucker for a deep tissue massage and boy can they deliver . I give this peaceful beautiful resort a 5 star . I have done both ocean views & garden views here and their both excellent choices "
