"It was an amazing experience to be in a real castle we chose a cheaper room so we didn’t have an en-suite but a beautiful bathroom in the corridor instead. The owners were so helpful and friendly and we had a very good quality evening meal with beautiful romantic piano music played by the manager and a history talk too. The owner was a beautiful lady who chatted to us in the bar area. We’d like to go again. Breakfast was good."

"If you're a all creatures great and small fan, it's perfect, as you walk in you actually walk into the "drovers". If you're not a fan it will take you back it's an unchanged farmers country pub, but don't let that deter you, the rooms are stunningly clean, the staff friendly and very attentive."

"The hotel is in a lovely location and many of the rooms have a view of the river, which was lovely. However, reception advised us not to open windows as flies come in, which was a shame. However, luckily there was a fan in the room as it was quite warm. The hotel was spotlessly clean but you can tell its an old building. They had quite an old TV in the room and not many Freeview channels but everything else was great, especially having a car park on site. We didn't eat or go to the bar so can't comment on those but would stay here again."

"The property was was pretty much as expected, The room was clean and big. The issue we had was there did not seem to be sufficent sound deading between the rooms, as we could hear voices from other rooms. Could not hear what they were saying, but could near the noise. Luckily they went to bed about the same time we did and did not wake up before we did, but it not what we wanted or expected. It was in a very isolated location. That was not a problem for us, but something to be aware of. The price was the main selction point, so it was a good valude for the price. Just the room noise sort of made it less than what we wanted."

Defi ately will be returning next year to see them :)"
