Beautiful property and staff was helpful. The only negative was they do pump a coconut scent throughout the casino that was overpowering for me.
Rooms are clean and beds are comfy. Would definitely visit again.
We had a wonderful stay! This is a great place for families visiting Las Vegas. The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, the location was convenient, and Tram train made it easy to get to the Strip and nearby attractions. The lazy river and wave pool made our stay exceptional, they were a huge hit with the kids. There are also plenty of nearby restaurants and shops. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to families.
I had a good stay. The staff were excellent and very helpful. All of the staff: housekeeping, maintenance, spa, registration ambassadors… Let’s be honest, wherever we stay is made possible by the tireless staff.
This is my first time staying at the Mandalay BayStood at the W in a two queen suite. The
room was beautiful overall 10 out of 10 experience definitely will come back to book.
The pool is definitely worth for the kids
Big hotel, least staff interaction. Got a bad view room as i did check in on the app, might have reqeuested for a good view if there was a staff. Rest hotel is great, pool area and all is amazing and so is the hotel. The casino is good too. The only thing missing in the room was a coffee machine with coffee/tea
Everything was great. Clean room. Staff were super helpful shops, where easily reached. The pool was super full. No seating available. Make sure you go early.
I was originally under the impression that I had booked Mandalay Bay. However, when I checked in, I was informed that my reservation was actually for the W Hotel. That was a little frustrating because I selected Mandalay Bay during the booking process, and it wasn’t clearly advertised that I was booking one of its sister hotels instead.
The staff explained that we would still have access to all of Mandalay Bay’s amenities, which was the main reason we chose to stay there. Once we got to our room, though, we were pleasantly surprised. The room was beautiful, very clean, and we loved how conveniently located everything was. In the end, we had a great experience, and I would definitely book this hotel again.
They overbooked the resort so badly! There were lines in front of the elevators. The elevators were so packed it was almost impossible to go downstairs. My husband and I had to either walk down the stairs or ride up just to go back down. The pool area was extremely overcrowded and to rent a cabana or chair, the price was ridiculous! The cost to buy 2 bottles of water exceeded $15. The restaurants were overpriced and the food was subpar. We are ate at a restaurant for breakfast and they served us frozen pancakes that were rubbery and dry. When paying $200+ for every meal the food should reflect the price. The hotel is really big and clean yet most of the employees don’t speak English so they can’t communicate well with the guests.
The overall hotel was awesome. The Adult only Moorea pool was excellent, excellent pools and service just didn’t expect it to be topless optional which was ok by us just unexpected. Rent the lounge chairs for 50$ a person, it’s worth it. The main pain point was check in. We checked in early on kiosk and never received text that room was ready. Returned around 8p at night, the line was LONG, many people in the same boat, waiting for their rooms. We received no info on the property, good credit, etc. we wanted late check out… called several times with no success in connecting with someone. Returned to front desk… waited in line with many others for 25 min. No movement in line so we gave up. I don’t think we’ll stay here again because of the lack of available customer service.
I did express check-in and check-out, so I did not have any interactions with the Front Desk staff. I did have a man cleaning windows walk me all the way to the Uber pick-up location after asking him where it was. I appreciated it so much, considering I probably never would have found it on my own.
The hotel was a breath of fresh air...literally. Whatever scent is being used in the rooms is wonderful. We could also barely smell the cigarette smoke when walking through the casino, which is a big plus for us! The hotel and room itself were also very clean.
I have only 2 complaints: it cost money to use the fridge, so there is no where to keep your water bottles cold unless you want to pay per day to use the fridge.
The pool should also be open a little longer in the summer. The sun doesn't go down till well after 8pm and the pool closes at 7pm. Another hour doesn't seem to be too much, especially considering the pool and lazy river are big selling points for Mandalay Bay.
Other than those 2 things, we would stay here again. It was lovely!

Liked: Staff & service
Maybe my expectations were just too high, as it came off as a budget spot, and I didn’t appreciate the setup snack bar. The snack bar in the room charges the room if any of the items are moved off an invisible sensor, and it doesn’t matter if it were an accident, or whatever, so people need to be very careful around it. In my opinion the cheesy snack bar should be removed, or people should be given an option, but to the staff’s credit we were warned, which was greatly appreciated. Tactics like the snack bar, drawers, and the “mini bar” were unexpected for the Mandalay Bay an MGM property, as these are tactics typically seen in budget business like motels, or for a better comparison Spirit Airlines. Although the room seemed dated, the pipes in the room would make a lot of noises, and the elevators could be an extremely long wait, the staff was very nice for the most part. My expectations were just too high I guess.
I booked a room with Mandalay Bay. We did self check in and we waited over 30 minutes waiting a QR code to get our room key. My husband finally asked and customer service agent looked at our reservation and said we were not staying at Mandalay Bay but at The W. I was so confused. All of my emails said Mandalay Bay, but he showed me when I selected a room I selected a premier room in The W. I thought W indicated west. He said that Mandalay Bay owns the property The W and they are connected. The room was very large and had two bathrooms, but in need of a serious remodel and outdated. I was celebrating my 60th birthday and I cried when I saw the room.
It should have been stated clearly that we were not staying at Mandalay Bay.
If I select a hotel those rooms should be the ones that are available, not a different hotel.
I was very disappointed and upset.
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The property was very clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. The staff was welcoming, friendly, and always willing to help with anything I needed. Their excellent customer service made me feel right at home. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable place with outstanding service.
Our room was great, however we had an adjoining door and there was a family with 3 small children in there. The kids were constantly yelling and the mom was cursing at them on and off. This would begin around 6am every morning.
It definitely put a damper on our stay
Our stay was wonderful. Rooms were clean. Parking not too far from room. Will come back to stay.

Liked: Cleanliness
Disliked: Staff & service, amenities
The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The spa and pools were fine, though the furniture throughout felt outdated.
Service was the main issue. I called guest services multiple times on different days and could never get through. Room service wasn’t much better: the online ordering system was glitchy, and when I finally managed to place an order, it returned an error saying the kitchen was too busy and to try again later.
Between the service issues and the dated facilities, I wouldn’t stay here again.
