"Adam on reception was the best, nothing was to much trouble. The breakfast was first class. The hot tub on the balcony helped to make this a 5 star visit and if that is was not enough you can pop down to the swimming pool."

"Room very dated. Shower soaks the bathroom. Shower seal hanging off so water poured onto the floor. Bath panel full of grime across the top and room carpet quite stained. Out view was a brick wall. I was very disappointed to be staying at the back of a garage and not in the actual hotel. I donโt think this was very clear when booking. If I had known I would not have booked. It certainly was not worth ยฃ159"

"We stayed for a few nights at the end of July. The hotel itself had good facilities - a lovely spa area and swimming pool, a "pub" underneath the spa/next to the pool, and a balcony area where food was also served. The view over the lake from the balcony was nice, and the food was excellent. It was nice and quiet, and location wise it was a few minutes walk to the lake and then on to Bowness itself. The only downside is that there's no ski lift up to the hotel after a hard day's hillwalking :D In terms of the bedroom - the bed was comfy and the room was quiet and clean. The furniture was overall good, and the bathroom was a bit small but definitely functional. The only major knock is that there's no air-conditioning, only one desk fan. This was ok when we went, but would no doubt have been very difficult if we had gone during one of the heatwaves. Overall though, I'd recommend staying at Lakes (also - visiting the Lake District in general!)"

"Lovely property, breakfast good, lots of choice. Walls a bit thin, could hear person next door snoring. Windows were heavy and propped open with wood, husband had to lift up to remove the wood. Room was clean. To turn the taps on, they were the wrong way round Shower pipe was leaking but still had good pressure. Would stay again"

"Hotel, staff and food excellent! The only disappointment was the shower in our room, basically it was a cubicle open shower facing the basin on an angle which allowed water to flood the bathroom floor."
