"Our stay at Sintra’s Rose Garden Essence was absolutely lovely and very whimsical—the perfect atmosphere for a visit to Sintra’s beautiful castles and palaces. The room was a good size, with a nicely appointed bathroom and thoughtful amenities including shower gel, shampoo, body lotion, a shower cap, and a vanity box. We also felt very safe, with secure, coded access to both the building and our room. Breakfast was beautifully arranged and offered enough options to get the day started, including traditional meats and cheeses, fresh fruit, cereals, yogurt, omelettes, variety of breads and scrambled eggs. Our host was gracious and welcoming, offering wonderful recommendations for restaurants and castles to visit, as well as transportation options. She was also happy to answer all of our questions throughout our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would happily stay again!"

"The villa was clean, bed comfortable, could have moved in and lived there. Staff were really helpful and communication was excellent. The garden was very tranquil and perfect to just chill or stroke Jenny (the cat), or watch the fish Breakfast was plentiful and fresh. Would totally recommend storyteller to other people."

"This is just a beautiful hotel. It features lovely views from our room which was very large with a super comfortable bed. The marble bathroom was gorgeous. Breakfast was extremely generous and delicious. The hotel has outdoor patios for lounging. And best of all it was very conveniently located within walking distance to the main part of downtown. Every member of the staff were very kind and helpful. Everyone spoke English. This was the best hotel we stayed in during our travels and my husband and I highly recommend it."
