  • I took this in March in Sintra, Portugal! It's at the fairy tale castle Pena Palace :). This is one of the lovely close-up views. It's is a Romanticist castle that stands on the top of a hill in the Sintra Mountains. And undoubtedly one of the most iconic places in Portugal. And a dream come true to visit it! It is a national monument and constitutes one of the major expressions of 19th-century Romanticism in the world. The palace is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Seven Wonders of Portugal. This property is truly amazing, the view is second to none. Bed, linens, towels are top notch and the free standing tub is just what you need after a long day of walking. Many good restaurants near by and the Breakfast at Hotel is great, loved the fresh fruit and croissants. Staff is very friendly. Check in/out was fast and easy. They have a lovely patio area. Close to city centre, sites and hop on hop off buses. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion provided. Quiet and modern design.

Warm welcome from the owner and comfortable bedroom with amazing views over Sintra towards the National Palace. Well appointed bathroom with powerful shower and standalone bath. Comfortable bed and pillows. Enjoyable breakfasts with views over Sintra if the weather cooperates. Arrived in the evening which is advisable after most day tourists have departed and traffic in the one-way system through Sintra is significantly quieter. Managed to park in one of the hotel’s two parking spaces a very short walk up the road from it. Would stay again.

The Villa Bella Vista was wonderful! The room was spacious and spotless. There were very few other guests so we had the terrace all to ourselves. The view could not be better; a perfect place to watch the sunset and listen to the busker playing in front of the palace.
